sorry !! was not yelling. didn't mean to o fend.i do it because i don't see or type well. it made it easier on me. thanks alleyoop. also thanks JR!!! I understand what your trying to do, paulpaul. You might want to try bold type like this. Click on the bold capital B in the add tags segment above the smilies. Then type your message between the two sets of bracketed b's. When you preview the message and post it, you will get a bolder type which is easier to read.

So I'm starting to feel loss of power and on the freeway it's getting on the hotter side. I can't seem to find anywhere that's loose so I just ordered a whole new muffler system. Luckily I got to it yesterday for $80. Today I looked again and the people raised it to $380! Huh?? So I'm hoping that fixes the problem There is a good possibility that the muffler is breaking down internally and is causing a partial blockage. That's a great price for a muffler system.

Seeing that much oil in the CVT would lead me to the crankshaft oil seal. You can get a better look at it by removing the variator. Since it already had a small leak before the oil change, refilling with too much oil could have finished the seal off by putting too much pressure on it.

Congratulations, Todd. It sounds like your top end is too rich. Normally you would have to decrease the main jet size. You might try dropping the needle jet one or two notches first. This might give you enough adjustment.
My guess on the torn diaphragm would be from a brand new carb.

See post #18 in this thread to see a picture of the R/R. It's the item with the large finned heat sink.
When I want to work on the R/R, I take off the rear fenders. First remove the seat. Remove the taillight assemblies from inside the access panel so that you will not be fighting the wiring. Remove all screws holding the rear fenders to the scoot. They are removed as a unit by spreading them apart slightly and working them towards the back of the scoot and then lifting to clear the R/R. I don't even bother removing the cable for the seat lock. I use a piece of wood and some padding material to hold the fender assembly out of the way. I do not remove the fender assembly, but move it enough to gain access.
