and now it just "won't go"... I think I may have blown a gasket somewhere and maybe oil got on my belt? Is this a possibility? I checked the dip stick and I did indeed put just a little too much oil in it, but it is just over the dipstick measurement... It was leaking oil before but just a very slow drip. I'm thinking I may have put too much oil in it and busted a gasket somewhere. I am almost at an end with this scooter... I have told myself this is the last thing I am going to fix on it pending how much it may cost to fix this last thing... Any suggestions as to what I need to check?

I forgot to mention that last week, I had my back tire changed because I popped a flat... and they of course had to take my back tire off to do this. I am not sure if they messed something up with the variator or what..

CAn you try to narrow down where the leak is. Wipe it as dry as you can , let it set and hour or so and see what you can. Make a note of what and where. Then wipe that clean and start it and let it idle and watch for leaks and make some nore notes.
then tell us what you have discovered. What oil did youput in?

Where is it leaking oil? Into the CVT? might be a crank seal...

Also if you got too much oil in it you may be blowing it out in the valve cover vent tube and it's coming out of the filter box. I mentioned put some oil in and check the level and never run a scooter with too much oil. Drain it and put the right amount in, pull the cover off of the filter and if it's got oil in it clean it all up and then do as suggested clean it all up, let it idle and watch.

If it is blowing into the filter... would this explain why it is barely moving when I twist the throttle?

Yes it mcould have flooded the carb with oil and the filter is choked down where it can't get any air. Got to remember the air vent tube off of the valve cover goes to the air box to breathe. If the excess oil hit it then the whole filter box and the filter will be drenched in oil.
Always check the dip stick and if it's too full drain some, never run it with too much oil.

Hi everyone... I have finally gotten some time to work on my scooter today. i changed the oil and cleaned the air filter and the rest of the air filter case assembly all of the way back to the carb. Still having the same problems. I did take pics of where the leak is coming from.

Not good enough Take the CVT cover off and Take a picture of the CVT. That oil can be running down from the Crankseal and dripping out there or it can be leaking down from the Air BOX into that part. If all that is clean it could be leaking by that oil bolt or the hose that carries the oil to the carb could have a hole in it.
You have to clean all that off leave the CVT cover off and start it and see where it is coming from. Alleyoop

I put the cover back on and drove it about a half mile or so, and it filled back up with oil again.

Seeing that much oil in the CVT would lead me to the crankshaft oil seal. You can get a better look at it by removing the variator. Since it already had a small leak before the oil change, refilling with too much oil could have finished the seal off by putting too much pressure on it.
