My scoot is a 2008 Roketa MC250B Linhai (257) with 9300 miles and 4 1/2 yrs old. Purchased new in July of 2008. I ride it to work and am going to work now at 2:30 AM. My scoot ran well, but would not charge the battery, so the R/R was bad. First real prob with the scoot. Life is good.....

Be careful with the heat from a 55w bulb. It could melt the plastic headlight lens.... Life is Good...

I had a problem with my scoot when the Regulator/Rectifier went south on me. Battery would not charge and I had no rear running lights. Your battery may not be charging up, so you need to check your battery voltage at the battery. I installed a volt meter to see what was going on with the charging system. When the R/R went away all it would show was battery voltage.
Purchased a new 6 wire R/R for the 250B Roketa and now I am up and scooting again. Life is good....

I have LED'S in both the rear turn and stop.....and HID'S for headlights....5000k...35w...H4....9003...Bi-Xenon....
love the lights....life is good...

Had a similar problem with the switch. Took the switch apart and tightened the screw that holds the lever. That fixed the prob. Take a look.....

I will check the connectors and see what has happened.....thanks for the reply....had a separate problem, which was I ran over a 2x4 on the highway the other morning and bent my rear wheel. It was 2:30 AM and could not avoid the big bump. So I have ordered and received a new rear wheel and tire to get back on two wheels. Life is good....

Thanks for the reply....I lost the charging system also....maybe the rectifier/regulator went south. I have a trunk like yours and it is not working. I can pull the levers and get rear brake and third brake light (top light is my third brake light)and turn signals. I have instrument lights and the front running lights. The engine runs great, but I have no rear lights or charging system.... No matter how high I take the engine the volts do not change, reads battery voltage.

Have lost rear lights, but still have brake and turn. Charging has stopped and reads 11 volts, which is battery voltage. Headlights have been changed to HID's over two years ago with no charging probs till now. They are wired hot and come on when the key is turned on. The volts have been 13.5 at 5000 rpm with everything running, now just over 11 at 5000. The instrument lights work and the scoot runs and starts great. Have over 9000 miles on the clock. The scoot is a 2008 Roketa MC54B-250 Linhai. Any help will be appreciated.. Thanks....

I installed a 35w HID system...Bi-Xenon...H4...9003 bulb.....5000K...Hi/Lo.....dual beams...with relay and used led's in the rear turn and tail lights. Now I can see at night and the oncoming traffic knows that I am there. The low beam is all that I need to see and the high allows me to flash the on coming vehicle to dimm there lights. Love it....
