I'm not sure myself, I'll get Dwayne to look and see. Thanks for the link, if it is it saves about $50!

Just wondering if anyone on here has a spare variator for a MC54b 250 just laying around not being used they'd want to part with for less than Roketa wants for one. They want $120 plus shipping, same as the place in the parts reference post here. If not, I don't mind too bad. She's worth the cash.

Thanks John. Still have to get my pink flames on it. Mainly so people will stop telling me to add the gold stripes to make it a LSU Tiger's scooter. Nothing against LSU, but like my politics and religion, I keep my school prefferences to myself. Too hot of a subject in this college town.

Well, we got her up and running. It was definantly under water at some point in it's life. Water in the intake, in the oil, in the transmission, in the rear end, water EVERY WHERE!! Since shanging the fluids and filters, doing a general once over and wash down, she's running pretty dang good. Still having a bit of problems with the slow down when you let off the gas, but it's getting better with a little riding. Think it's just from sitting with water in it. I think this ones going to turn out to be a pretty good deal. More pics coming soon.

Thanks justbuggin2! I'll have to go get some. I need a COVER for her, keep the sun off and it'll save a LOT of headaches.

I knew there was something wrong with my scoot last season, hubby said "ride it I don't hear anything.". While putting the tupperware back on today, he started it up. He hears a slapping/knocking noise in the CVT area. Traced it down to the variator. Now I have to get another one of those. I found the link to it in one of the threads here, same price as Roketa can send it for. DING DANG IT! Can't something go right this year? Oh well, she'll be good as new soon. Not ready to sell her yet.

Thanks jct842. I called the dealer, and of course they want an hours labor to test drive and give me reccomendations on what it might need. To the tune of $85! Jesh, I know your time is important and all, but we do a used car inspection for $30! Any who, we'll get them to take a look at it for us in a couple of days. Working on getting the Great Grape up and together. Tupperware looks good in purple on a MC54B!

Got this big girl up and rollin' today!! Dwayne got the new fuel pump assembly put in, fired right up. Changed the oil, transmission oil, and the gear oil in the rear end. Took her out for a spin, let me tell you what! That thing got up to 52 MPH in less than a quarter block! Need some advice, when you let off the gas, it slows down real quick, like the brake comes on. You can feel it shift down, when it gets to second, it shifts down too early, causes you to almost run into your windshield. Same thing happens about 15-20 when it shifts to first gear. It will release and free wheel at a point of it's choosing, but it makes for some quick stops. We may just drive her up to the dealer and have them test drive it for us. Anyone have any ideas where to start? Dwayne's reading the service manual you pointed me to JR. Thanks again. ;
