Wow - here it is April and I finally got my first ride of the year in. Did about 15 miles around the lake. Forecast is nice for the weekend so maybe I can get out again.

I'm sick of it. I moved here to get away from snow. I just cleared another 8-9 inches off the driveway and deck over the past 2 days and we're getting 3-5 more today. The local kids are going to be in school until mid-June. I've burned as much gas in the blower this winter as I did in the scoot last year.

Good grief JR. It looks like it was warmer here yesterday than it was in Arkie land. My car said it was 63 degrees. Colder and rainy today though.

I saw on the news that the State is finally doing something about the sorry state of our bridges and roads to the extent of about $2 billion in new funding. That's the good news. The bad news is that it looks like we'll have the highest gas tax in the country. Also, fees for driver's licenses, vehicle registrations and other services are going up too. Further downer - the roads and bridges here in Adams County are actually in reasonably good shape so my $$$$ are going to Philly, Pittsburgh etc. Oh well, the roads here are more fun anyhow. Ride safe my friends.

Richard - are you still teaching part-time at Penn Highlands? Do you ever ride to class? My students got a kick out of old CC riding the scoot to class. Of course, I only lived about 3 miles from the Richland campus.
