The following is what I had posted on another forum. Just information for the members here.
Nov. 2, 2013
where in the post did I state any reason for leaving.
Later that day, I received a message from ADMIN Mike:
I don't have a clue where he came up with what he is saying. Those that know me know that I am on boards (since 2008) for more than just advertising. In fact, in the beginning I didn't even have a banner ad.
Anyways, I looked on the boards and my goodbye post had been removed, however, all my posts had be reposted WITHOUT my permission. My account was still active but, had been disabled so I could not post anything. I then replied to his message:
I did check and I still had access to my signature block, so I editted it to read that I had deleted my posts, they were re added by ADMN without my permission and that they had 24 hours to remove them.
This morning, I checked to see if anything had been done only to find out that I had been banned, no access, however, my posts were still there and the word "banned" was under my name. My signature block had been deleted.
No where in the registration agreement for Scootdawg.net does it say anything about posts being the property of the site.
VBullentin, which is the software that they use, has a TOS. Line 14 states: 14. All logos and trademarks in this site are property of their respective owner. The comments are property of their posters, all the rest © 2006 by INTERNET BRANDS. So Scootdawg.net is in violation of that TOS.
I guess I should have known better with all the "stuff" over the take over with the original ScootDawg was going on and how ADMIN Mike handled that. Hind site is always 20/20.
In a nutshell, the reason for this post is to educate those that may not know and to warn you that even tho you think you own the material that you post, the ADMIN of a site can ban you and keep your material posted for personal gain. Admins can make money off their site from paid advertisers. The amount paid is tied to how big the forum is and how active, measured by posts. Basically, what he is doing is fraud and possibly copyright infringement!
Thank Goodness most sites do not operate this way!!

I talked with my lawyer this AM. Because of having a business, I have had a lawyer for years and not only that he is a friend. While talking to me he looked at both the TOS for VBullentin and Scootdawg.net. His professional opinion is that I do in fact own the material. Since I deleted the material, ADMIN Mike reposted it , I posted to have it removed in my signature, and that ADMN Mike had banned me so I can not contact him or post on that board, his advice for me is to contact GO Daddy ( Scootdawg's domain issuer ) and VBullentin ( Software he uses ) and request action/advice from them. Emails are sent.
He also gave me a bill for his services; a free oil change! LOL! Nice to have friends in high places LMAO.
So now it is wait and see.
Some of you may wonder why am I going thru all this, the answer is simple, I am the kind of guy that not only protects what is mine, but, hopefully avoid it happening to someone else, which is more important.
Have a great day
Jim

Is there a problem Jim? What didn't you understand? I let you, and others, have 6 FREE months of advertising. It actually worked out to more than that. And now you're upset because your FREE advertising was removed? Did you think it would be a lifetime of free advertising? Is that really fair to our paying advertisers? Others were VERY grateful that they were given 6 FREE months of advertising, yet you think it's not enough and you deserve more. Hmmm..
So now you're going to stop helping people that come here for help and tips, and remove your posts, simply because you're not getting FREE advertising anymore? Why do you think you're entitled to that anyway? Is that what your whole online presence is about, soley to benefit yourself?
You sound like a really nice guy!
Go ahead and take your ball and go home, it's not a big loss to lose someone with that mindeset.

Yes there is a problem and now a bigger one. I deleted all my posts and you have reposted them without my permission. You have 24 hours to delete them totally or face legal action..
