Has anyone gone ahead and installed rubber floorboards over the aluminum? It really improves the look and you don't have to worry about scratching the aluminum anymore.

You wouldn't think such a minor change would matter but it turns it into a better looking scooter.

Man i tell you i love the rubber floormats better than the aluminum. overtime the aluminum ones get scratched and start looking ugly.

Hulk24 I like the look of the scooter you are getting. I thought Icebear just sold trikes. I like that built in back rest. Is it really a 300cc scooter?

hey Alleyoop, where i bought that scooter. They have it rated going 84 mph. Soon as it warms up outside and plus after the break end period for the scooter. Then I can open it wide open and see how fast it really goes. I plan on using my GPS to get a true reading.

Ernie, what holds them in place and where did you get them? Here is the link to where I got the diamond pattern rubber for the floorboards. .rubbercal.com/Diamond_Plate.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.rubbercal.com/Diamond_Plate.htmlOne sheet 12" X 48" is sufficient. $8.50 + shipping I traced the rubber around the aluminum floorboard then cut it exactly the same size as the aluminum floorboard. I used Roberts 2-sided sticky carpet tape to mount the rubber to the floorboard. Then I poked holes in the rubber from underneath the aluiminum floorboard for the screws. I went up one size from the OEM screws X 1" and used decorative stainless washers. Screw the whole thing on to the scooter as you normally would. Don't make the screws too tight as the decorative washers will cut the rubber. There is a picture at the beginning of this post. Have fun Ernie i121.photobucket.com/albums/o210/egn6/P1000457.jpg
