Matter of time, I suppose. Wiped out big time Monday, four days in hospital, seven broken ribs, one cracked vertebra, zero memory of anything leading up to the accident -- woke up looking at the ceiling of an ambulance. Wife and my ribs are making it perfectly clear to me that my scooting days are over, at least on two wheels. Don't know full condition of scooter yet, may be repairable, maybe not. Actually, engine, CVT, electrical, cooling were all fine, hopefully they still are. But anyhow, watch here for more info, either a you-fix-it for sale ad or a parts-only ad.

Extremely sad to hear this ellpee . Please take it easy and get well soon, hopefully your wife will have second thoughts or maybe it's time for a trike? I'm seriously considering one at my age too. Get well soon! JR

Not a good event ellpee. That is why I am trying to get my scoot fixed so I can sell it. I am 82 now and not always as steady as I once was. Wife has convinced me to sell. I would also consider a three wheeler myself.
Yes I did get my new temp sender and will put it in later today or tomorrow. Then see if the overheating continues.. Only thing left if it heats will be the thermostat, which I found with your help. I hope I am done with the temp sender.
Will post all this and more on my scooter thread.
So do take some time and rest to get well again. Don't drop off the forum as you have been a world of help to me and others.

But for logistics I might consider bringing the Magnum (trike) back from Ruidoso to replace the Roketa. Don't ride it much up there anyway, and worst case it would be much easier to sell here in Tucson. Any of that, though, will require a CinC signoff, and I'm not gonna touch that landmine any time soon. Good news, though, the Roketa looks much better than I hoped -- one cracked mirror, left front turn signal (AGAIN!), and a lot of scraped plastic, all of that on the left side only. Pictured from the right it would look pristine, and it DOES run; the guy drove it off the impound lot to the loading area. So I'll probably be putting it up as a fixer-upper before long. Not feeling much like doing any repairs at the moment.
