Just a follow up. I checked the motor out real good and upon looking under the motor on crankcase side I discovered light black oil build up. I decided to check the bolts that fasten the crankcase. I found some of them loose. I tightened a few of them around 1/4 turn. After that I cleaned the motor real good with a can of spray parts cleaner. I have done a couple of pdi's on this bike but for some reason I never checked those bolts. Hopefully I have fixed my oil use problem. I'm a big ole dummy for not checking those bolts before. I knew it had to be something other than a bad motor. It just runs to dang good. Tip to the wise. When doing a pdi check EVERY bolt. It will pay off in the long run.

The Aha! moment at last. Seems like that would give you some oil on the garage floor, but maybe not if it only leaks out when the engine is running at rpm and some pressure pushes oil out of the crankcase. All your oil loss would be on the road. Tell us how things look at your next 1000-mile oil change.

All your oil loss could be on the road. Tell us how things look at your next 1000-mile oil change. Just changed the oil. It was less than 2 ounces down after about 600 miles. The motor is clean with no signs of leaking. It made me happy, happy, happy. Man it amazes me that some problems are fixed with the smallest of effort. I was worried that my motor was bad. Not any more. She's fit as a fiddle. Now I can concentrate on painting the scoot. Gonna go from red to black. At least that was what my girlfriend suggested I should do. She seen a black Burgman and said it was a awesome color. Who am I to argue with her wisdom lol.

I am being lobbied real hard for the black but it is my scoot and doggone it I like the white color. She does have a way of persuasion though lol. Who wants to bet what color it will be. Reckon she will win?.

Go black, but with a whole bunch of reflective strips and/or those LED strip lights.

Yeah the black color would be a great look but I have decided on white. My mind is made up. There are so many possibilities with the white color. Maybe a tutone with blue or red as the other color. I will figure something out.
