No to your basic question, but might be interested in your plastic leftovers -- have dumped my 2011 Roketa on its left side a couple times. If you like, PM me with what you have and how much you want for it, including shipping. No guarantees, haven't even been able to completely remove some of my plastics, but we can talk.

Your right scot, $100.00 you can get 2013, you would think the left overs would be cheaper

yes but there not ,they seem to be ok but like anyone else a good pdi is needed mine was like $1869.00 with the itlalika carb upgrade,an for some reason I got the better battery to they offer ,of yes I did like there layaway plans ,unless you live near places like that, some were selling this one for 2400.00 2800.00 ,an some dealers ask even more ,we have I used bike dealer near that sells a few an ups the price 1000.00 ,an the one thing the owner told me was ,that they do go though all the machines very thorough .like changing the tire valves an carefully going though it ,he did bring me back an showed the 150cc version I what I have ,he gets for about 1300.00 an sells for 2300.00 .but they had all the plastic off it ,,I figured I would ,an do my own pdi ,the layaway is nice though not many dealers have that option

sure, whats your thoughts, a few things I did not mention was the I year warranty included an up to 3 years ,2 more years for 180.00 I did not see anyone with a better deal honestly ,everyone else had like 3months then buy the warranty 9 months more 99.00.then the lift gate service was another charge, or fee, thats what I like about power ride was not all the added extras, like with some they sell the scooter for 1699.00 then charge you 299.00 shipping + 89 lift gate ,they seem to make the buy pretty simple ,an price wise I did not see a better deal out there for the brand new one

Just one man's opinion: extended warranties are huge money-makers for the sellers and provide little real added protection for the buyers. Others may see it differently.

I agree with that is why i went with the one year that came with it ,I am a 3 years 36 kinda guy ,I used to buy the 1200.warrantys that they sold you when buying a car,its a racket, they sell everything that way now ,I never had to regret not buying it ,an I would rather have 1500.00 put to the side for a big fix.one time I got 3 year warranty 10 years ago ,when lcd tvs were getting big ,at 2 years it did come in handy ,as they replaced the main circuit plate ,an now had it for 10 years ,but I allways decline anything extra ,couse 9times out of 10 ,there not used, its like getting kicked in the sticked ,it could be a the next thread ELLPEE hehehehe what you all think about warrantys guys , I asked them about the local who sells a few roketas about working on my scooter for warranty work,NO! he said ,if your engine blows up you ship it to us we replace it,nice info he gave was there is 6 bolts holding the motor in place,i did not but I should have said well what about the other hundred nuts bolts screws I will have to take off,so when buying I kinda new ,joining this forum was a great thing ,if you don't live near your seller ,then its pretty much all the work myself,a have a friend who knows alot about the engine I would not know or may not,

You got it Scot. With rare exceptions, warranties -- even the original "factory warranty" -- depend on is there somebody in your town who will honor it. Does you precious little good if the answer is "take off the defective part and send it to us and we'll replace it." You still have to identify what's broke, dismantle it, ship it to California or wherever, hope they do in fact replace it, and when it comes back, re-install it. And then there's the fine print -- if you didn't have a *** DEALER *** PDI at delivery, or if you were ever so foolish as to have some local scooter shop work on it, warranty null and void. That's the case with both of my scooters, the Roketa and the Magnum. So you save big bucks by buying Chinese off the Internet, but along with that comes a LOT of personal responsibility for solving problems, finding parts when you need them, etc. Those lucky enough to live across town from Rapid Jim can count their blessings, but 99% of us are on our own. My take is, don't spend one dime on any add-on warranty, spend a lot of time on this forum getting educated, and expect to invest some additional moolah in tools and parts. Ballpark, my ~$1950 Roketa now represents about $2400, not to mention time and effort. Don't regret it though, having lots of fun and know a lot more about the guts of my scooters than I ever expected to.
