More to the story. Tx Highway Patrol pulled him over on a routine traffic stop. The trailer that he had my trike on was also stolen. He has a lot of proving to do! Not sure about the truck. They were still checking.

There is a 500 page thread with over 4,000 posts on My China Moto started by Barnone. It has a lot of useful insites and help, but from what I've read, it seems to have very few flaws and those easily fixed. I noticed that the glide (A) version has increased in price to within $100 of the springer. Both can be found on extremescooters.biz or Scooter Depot. Scooter Depot has the pre 2012 version as a discontinued model for $2k, but the tank is different and some owners have had issues with it leaking. Mine should arrive soon. If no one minds, I will try to keep all posted. I have attached a photo of the springer version. In addition to the springer front, it has different bars and no fender. Attachments:

They don't give much in the way of specs but I have read a few posts by riders over 6' tall. The main drawback that I've seen many complaints about is that it is extremely underpowered. Top speed from the crate is in the 55mph range so most are replacing the 45T rear sprocket with 38T or 35T. 38T seems to kick speed up to 60/65 and still give decent response in traffic. This is a hard-tail so 60 is OK for me! I think that some of the skills we have developed working our scooters might be helpful with some of our mods. I will for sure mess with the CDI and coil.
I think the TBX EFI that started this post wins out in almost every category, but this is a BOBBER!

27yankees, I am so sorry about how far off track this thread has gotten! A note to Admin: Is there a place on this forum for a bike like this? Maybe we need a category for Chinese Motorcycles? They seem to share some of the same parts and mfg as the scooters and ATV's. Please feel free to move the DR250 RTB Chopper series to wherever you feel it belongs.
To our many fine sponsors. I have noticed that there aren't many sources for aftermarket parts for these bikes. It might be a good business opportunity?

Just a quick update. The vendor I ordered from and I had a little comm gap in the ordering process and they are shipping me the more expensive B version with the springer front end at the same price as the A version. I wanted the springer version anyway so I am very pleased with service. Order was placed on 01.03 and it ships tomorrow 01.08.Chad at extremescooters.biz has been very good.

This is a good source for generic parts for scooters or bikes:
Just for general info. There is a vendor called banggood.com out of China that has a lot of stuff for motorcycles. It's mostly cosmetic and generic. I've ordered several times and the quality has always been good, as is the service. It does come from a warehouse in China so there is the usual delay in shipping. Just do a search on their site for "motorcycle"

yes good for you steve the bms yes it seems they don't make as many of them ,but like you I am keeping my eyes on one down the road, let us know when you get it the bobber. 10 bussness days ,an i was happy to get bill of sale an title in mail day before it arrived ,we had one issue when mine was delivered, the driver got to a bridge that was under weight load at 70,000,truck empty was 90.000 he would not cross it .my first thought was to have him drop it side of road then pick up truck ,its about quarter mile from my house ,i said you got a floor jack ,we wheeled it down the road an up the drive ,the trucker did go to any lengths to get it hear , ,I gave him 20.00 tip ,it was after all a small set back in my case .an i see 18 wheelers down hear all the time ,just goes to show how many drive over it anyhow ,I said you can drive over it ,he said I don't want to lose my cdl ,its only about 15 feet long ,so the whole weight of truck would not have been on it ,though done guess it happens a lot ,that drivers just go over then most times couse it was never I problem before

I lived in Ellis County, TX. We had a 1 lane wood bridge with a 90 degree turn on each end and no guard rails. It was about a 12' drop to the water. Clearly marked but at least once a month a del truck would get hung up there.
That's also where I learned that wet wood and bikes are a very bad mix. I think I put an a** hickie on the seat. Anyone one who rides has had one of those "God, this gonna hurt" moments.

When they delivered my trike (Magnum), despite MANY warnings they showed up with a small semi that couldn't make the turn into my driveway. After several days of back and forth, wound up having them drop it at roadside a couple hundred yards from my house. Can't blame the driver, if it won't fit it won't fit, but I do somewhat blame the seller, distributor, and freight company for ignoring my many warnings about delivery "challenges."
Ancient history, all is now good.

Steve - I'm a big dx.com shopper for assorted LED lights for me and my scoot, but holy cow, banggood has even lower prices! thanks for posting.

Use DX and Meritline both, but Banggood seems to have much better service. I would lay more blame at the hands of the freight co. They are the ones who have the final control once it's in the truck. either way, if it was all good, all the time, we wouldn't need preacher and counselors.
