When you say puking fuel out from where is the fuel coming out? If it is coming out of the TOP VENT HOSE then the float needle is not shutting off the fuel when the carb bowl is at it's full level and gas keeps flowing in. BUT I have to add that should only happen when the motor is running because the Petcock only allows fuel to flow when there is suction on the diaphgarm to allow fuel to flow. If it happens with the motor off then the PETCOCK is bad. Alleyoop

Hey, Alley- Yeah fuel has been overflowing due to float needle getting stuck. Or It's being overpowered by the weight of the fuel in the oversized fuel line.
& there is no petcock valve. I have a pair of locking pliers on the line when not in use. ---- Anyway, I have to change out the l fuel line back to the smaller size.
Mostly, because this problem seems to have started when I up-sized the line.
So changing back to stock size should stop overbearing weight of fuel on the fuel float needle. _

also, crushing the line like that can cause it to crack & deteriorate inside and pieces will come off and plug whatever is downstream from that point, also can crack on the outside and leak

Sorry, Alley. I know not to use pliers for that.
It's just that I get paid once a month. (SSI/disability)
& most of the time I have to work on tight shoestring buget.
& in frustration I get turned around & mess up. Which upsets me even more. _

Hey, I believe that my flooding issues are "stuck-float" related.
Which also can be related to me opening the fuel system by replacing the fuel line & filter.
So do you think that getting fresh appropriate-sized "see-through" fuel-line & a new filter will help? Or Just get fresh filter & clean the ever-living heck out of the fuel system? _

Open it up and make sure the float is not binding or set wrong. As far as the Petcock get whatever turns you on or the fuel Alleyoop

I don't like the vac-petcock valves due to that I hear they fail often. That & I like the fact when I shut the fuel off, it stays off. --- As for the float I'm going to see about trying the clean the heck out of the sys. & new filter thing first. _

Filter or whatever has nothing to do with it overflowing, the float is not shutting off the fuel PERIOD. When you opened it up and you messed with it you messed it up. Here is how to adjust the float. Alleyoop

Now this diagram is very idea I've been looking for. - Now I never opened the carb itself, before these overflow problems started.
I did replace the fuel-line itself. & that's why believe the system could have been contaminated & caused the initial problems at the start.
That's why I want to see about cleaning the entire system to aleve any future problems. _

You can put 1/4 inch hoses from the tank to the petcock and or filter BUT from the filter to the carb the hose is 3/16 , the fuel inlet on the carb takes a 3/16 hose not a 1/4 hose. Alleyoop

Cool, that also is going to be a big help. Thanks again Alley.
Going to see about implementing this info & parts when I can. _
