Pull 1/3 throddle, & hold. Then let go. Engine RPMs come down then dies. (Unless I bump throddle at last moment, it will die.)
I've got the stupid stumble on throddle snap to go away. _
But now when I go for a ride it's lacking any power. Didn't even get over 25mph… -------- Maybe I should try a different carb? _

I just remembered something.
My OLD-CARB is a 19mm.
My NEW-CARB is a 18mm.
Will this any affect on tuning? _

1-1/2 turns. Dies shortly after.

If the rpms do not drop quickly to the idle speed but hang and drop slowly it is LEAN —Turn the Fuel Mixture Screw Counter Clockwise ¼ turn at a time. Give the throttle a quick twist let go and check that the rpms drop quickly and not hang and drop slowly. Alleyoop

I miss working on bigger power plants. Much easier to tune than their 3 cu. inch counter-parts.
( That, & I got the tools for it.) ----------- I try again, as per' useal. When weather lets me…

Yea from where it is currently set: 1. Turn it 1/4 counter clockwise THEN test it. Grab the Throtle give it a quick FULL TWIST and let go. a. If the RPMS do not drop quickly they hang and drop slowly REPEAT #1.

Followed the directions from Tuning "4-Cycle Carbs", going CCW, didn't seem to help. - But I'll take another try again during warm weather. _

Have you adjusted the valves? If you have a tight exhaust valve the motor will not hold low rpms because of loss of compression. Alleyoop

I've been thinking about that & few other things too.
Gonna have to remember to do that, & thoroughly clean the carb too. _

Well spent a good resonable day going over my acquired "parts" carbs. Piecing together what I got.
Instead of tuning, like I should. But there's hope for tomorrow, lol…

Well stuck @ gas station, with carb puking again… - It's got to be the larger fuel line, it's must be what's making me nuts.
Ugh.
-----------------------------
Managed to get home, but had to push the scoot + groceries up two small hills about mile home.
At moments like that, I really dislike carburetors. - Got a upper leg-muscle that feels as if tore something. Even after some serious pain-killers & 2 Quarts of Green + Chamomile tea. ( My home brew mix, great muscle relaxant, & healing aid.) It's still a bit sore.
This is not what wanted to be doing with my scoot… _

While sitting at the fuel station trying to get the scoot behave last night. Someone mentioned the float needle possibly being stuck. - Could most of my problems be due to a stuck F-needle from a larger fuel line & untreated gas? ( Seafoam, STP, MysteryOil. whatever.) _
