Found replacement for $24 on amazon.
But I can't even afford that at this moment. Now if it was $3 I could spare that…

Ok, figured that the float needle may have just been junk. While dry it will seat & seal. But when wet, it leaks.
Now the question is, where do I find a quality rebuild kit for this carb?
___________ There is also a chance that enlarging the fuel line size may have played a part in this.
The larger fuel line will put more "weight" on the float needle. In turn, making a sub-par needle go bad. - So going back to the stock size, may relieve any future carb needle issues.
That & perhaps purchase quality clear line, to keep aging fuel line problems from occurring as well.

Ah, scrappy. One of the first online parts/performance stores I found. & the only place I can find the PCV valve for my scoot. Still working on getting that. ------------ Quick question here on oil. Are the tolerances on these chinese GY6 engines too loose to use 5W-30 oil? I put 5w30 in for below 30-deg weather. & it vapored oil into the belt case, past the crank seal. So I changed it back to 10w40. Or do I just need that PCV valve? _

Stick with the 10wx40 that is good for minus temps. 5w30 is to thin and will find any little opening to leak out of. Alleyoop

What's the coldest you ridden in? - I've so far I have road in 36-degree dry weather. Open face helmet, & that is rough…
But the oil was ok, felt like it was not quite reaching top RPM's but that just may have been me feeling frozen.
I was prepared to travel in upper 20's but that's when the carb' problems started. _

I think about 30 but that was only the first winter year I got the trike. To COLD so now I just ride when it is 70+(HAHA). The Trike is in the garage and I start it once a week or once every two weeks and let it warm up for about 20 minutes and charge up the battery and get the fluids going through it. Alleyoop

Alleyoop Don't feel the need to store it eh'. Don't blame one for keeping the ride ready for when the weather permits. - Me however, have to travel pretty much any weather. Even if it was 10-deg. Cause' it's my only ride. Providing road conditions are right. No sense in riding a death-way. _

Well, after about 6-1/2 hrs. of tinkering & tuning on the carb, managed to get the dern' thing going again.
Took a drill bit & hand-turned it to reface the float-needle seat to a angel to give it more contact surface. Bent the float needle adjustment tab from straight to a step to take up slack between the two. (Not sure if needed, but worked anywhoo.) Changed jets -twice. (ended up with #78-main & #35-pilot.) Then buggers of time, tuning...
But still dies-out when coming off from running mid to high RPM. Was suggested that the accelerator diaphragm may be damaged.
Could it have gone bad after sitting for a month & dealing with multiple accelerator needle adjustments ? _
