Went for a drive to get some food and I noticed that the speedo was acting funky. It felt like it was having a hard time catching up to the speed I was going and it took forever to go back to zero after a full stop now it was 45 degrees outside when I drove but I doubt that has anything to do with it.. Any help is appreciated

I dunno, I could easily imagine the lubricant in the speedo cable getting thick and stiff in cold conditions. There may be other possible causes, but that's the first one that pops into my head. Cure? Disconnect the cable at both ends, flush it (in a warm environment) with mineral spirits or similar, and then lube it with something other than cheapo made-in-China grease -- teflon, silicone, something like that. Will be interested to see what the real gurus say.

Quadrunner, I had a similar problem with my Turista 300 speedo. I removed the speedo and cleaned the rotating drum and bushing with spray carb cleaner and then relubed with a light oil and it works great. Jeff
