Ok so i was on route to college, when i was stopped at a junction, when i came to pull away i noticed that all of a sudden the revs had to get very high for the ped to move even then with poor acceleration, normally it has high bottom end power and is quick off the mark, up to about 10 mph it did this then went back to normal but it kept doing this, then i pulled over to read a text leaving engine at idle and it cut out, now it just dosent work!! there is a spark, new plug, cleaned carb with carb cleaner, fuel getting to carb and to inlet, took off cyllinder head to see if fuel got into the cylinder, it did. but the head of the piston had a few small chips in it at the edges, then i removed the piton to see that the first piston ring was in bits and the second bent, this had marked the cylinder sleve, only lightly and in one place. would this damage to the piston be enough for it not to start?

What has your ribs have to do anything with a DAMAGED INTERNAL MOTOR??
You have destroyed your motor BRO. IF it still runs it will put a hole in the piston and or the crank will seize with the metal parts coming off the rings.
Start saving your money because it is going to cost you a motor or just a few less bucks if you rebuild it. Alleyoop

ok, new cyllinder kit comes tomoz, sucks that i have college-might bunk of, ordered an upgrade on the street race to stage race 70 kit, makes 14hp out of the box . is there any pproberbility that it was something other than the old cyllinder causing it not to run, just to brace myself for any let downs tomoz, there was spark when held against engine and there was defo fuel getting into cylinder

Put up the link of what you got, because there is no way it will make 14hp.
Dealers lie a lot to get you to buy their so called performance products. You do realize that a 150cc motor only puts out little over 8hp like 8.3 and the hot 150cc motor puts out little over 9hp. Takes quite a bit to gain 1 hp out of these motors.
Just trying to help you BRO so you don't get taken and be very disappointed on the results that you think you will get. Alleyoop

okai okai, so i put new cyllinder kit on new spark pulug and, nothing spark plug pressed against engine and i can ee the spark, if i crank it over i can smell petrol and i did it with cyllinder head off and i could see vapour come out, wondering if tightness of spark plug could be an issue i dont have a proper plug tool so have to make do with hands, could that stop it running?

Churchy are you getting a real nice blue looking spark or a lighter yellowish/orange type spark? I believe his current and first thing to correct is the hand tighted spark plug. He is loosing compression through the spark plug hole. Hand tightening a spark plug is not going to seal very well. Now after that there may be other problems as well, timed wrong, valves not set right, rings not spaced out right which will cause loss of compression etc.. Alleyoop
