Okay, time to name names. I have had a horrible four-month experience with Extreme-Scooters of Warner-Robins, Georgia, and their representative, Dave Bergman. Watch this thread; in the next few days, if I can figure out how I'll be posting a PDF file describing the whole fiasco, and anyone considering buying from that dealer should read it and think long and hard before making your decision.

I have heard this before concerning this dealer. (* aptly describes your situation. If I were buying an Ice Bear product Rapid Jim would be my go to guy.

But you know what, RapidJim, I've googled your address too and am not seeing this "brick and stone" facility you speak of. Your BBB rating of A+ says you are way, way better than Extreme-Scooters, and a jillion posts on various forums support that, but you might want to consider posting some pictures of your facility. Just sayin' .... With perfect 20-20 hindsight, had I been a "smart shopper" I would have looked for exactly that, and images of a real, no-kidding place of business including parts/maintenance would have been a real deciding factor. I know from my own research that Extreme-scooters and several others seem to be, at best, minimal storefront operations. Same message to anyone else who is trying to compete with RapidJum.

I don't know ,ellpee--I looked at the banner at top of page and it shows this picture ,a pretty good looking building--just sayin--fflintstone I googled it and found this maps.google.com/maps?q=96+east+main+street,milltown,wi&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x52ad7e2f7ae92a93:0x8c4d967b2eca0367,96+E+Main+St,+Milltown,+WI+54858&gl=us&ei=HTUFUrmpLaqI2wX4s4G4DQ&ved=0CC0Q8gEwAA---I had to turn around and travel about a hundred yards and found this same building--Google put an address on it as 44 County Road--but Google is Google--this is the same building as on the banner ,just not any scoots out in the front--better looking than my shop-lol-happy trails, fflintstone

For fflintstone, all good. I just went with the 96 E Main St address and saw nothing but a typical blue-collar Midwest house (I grew up in a house like that, so don't take that as a slam). Maybe Jim needs to tweak his Web presence a bit; nonetheless, his reputation on all the forums and his A+ BBB rating say a lot. Have sure never read anything even remotely that favorable about Extreme-Scooters, or any other drop-ship dealer for that matter. Hope Jim becomes the Donald Trump of Chinese scooters.

Elpee, use RapidRepair.com and it will take you to Jim's website which shows his shop and scoots out in front. Address is 96 E. Main St., Miltown, Wi. Established 1993. You can also click on his name on any heading for postings he has made and get the same info. I have an IceBear, 2009 model that looks like a Ruckus trike. I use it for running around my property and to the mail box. Just so you will know that I am not shilling for Jim, I would never buy another IckyBear(pet name for mine) but have found Jim, in my opinion, to be honest in his advise and have never heard a complaint concerning his business ethics. He always seems to be ready to give free advise to anyone having problems with the IB product line whether they bought from him or not. Which is more than I can say for Extreme Scooters as you have learned. Again, (*

Did find Jim's building, considerably further down Main St than GoogleEarth shows, but no scooters outside in what purports to be 2008 imagery. Same sign though, definitely the same building. Goes to show G.E. is far from perfect.

Strange. When I go there it always shows scooters out front.

To clarify: on GoogleEarth I found the building but no scooters. On Jim's site, mucho scooters.
