Bought this scooter for $600 dollars. Mechanically the scoot runs great but it has been neglected and it needed some TLC. * Right signal light was busted and the left one was all yellow * God knows when was the last time fluids were changed * Scuffs all over it * Rear trunk is split * Fuel lines and filter were pretty bad * Several dumb decals plastered all over it. I took care of all of those problems and made several upgrades along the way. * Installed HIDs * Upgraded signal light bulbs to 1156 * Upgraded stop lights to 1157 * Replaced from corner lights with 921 LED bulbs * Restored the lusted on the head light and tail light lenses * Started to put some stripes on the front to give it a sportier look. And this is what I ended up with. It's nowhere near done, I still have a couple of things to take care of like. * Clean and paint the heat shields * Fix the fuel gauge * Adjust valves * Flush coolant. ^ New trunk Will continue to post pictures as I go, hope you all like them.

[replyingto=quadrunner]quadrunner[/replyingto]Hey quadrunner. Congrats on the purchase. Looks good. I see you are from Brownsville, Tx. I live in Corpus Christi, Tx. What HID kit did you go with. Meaning, what color did you go with? I am thinking about upgrading to HIDs as well, but I can't decide if I want the ice white or the blue. My cars have true white headlights, but I would like my scooter to stand out a bit more. Did you have to do any modifications to allow for the upgraded bulbs all the way around your scooter? Like the 1156 bulbs or the led corner bulbs. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see more pics as the upgrades continue.

The HIDs I got are H4 6000K Bi-Xenon so I didn't loose low and high beam. I like the 5000K but I think the 6000K project a better color on the pavement.

Well the letters on the side were thrashed so I took a brave pill (Bacardi 101) and decided to do an experiment. Removed rear rack and trunk, taped the surface area and sanded it down with a red scotch pad. Used bumper paint from Dupli Color and gave it a shot. And this is what I ended up with. Not sure if I'll keep it like this, maybe I'll paint all the plastics a nice Pearl Red that I have left over from a previous project I did.
