Hey everyone. I just installe a new muffler and head pipe on my 150cc reverse trike scooter. After the motor warms up, there is a burning smell coming from the muffler, and the head pipe is hot enough to melt hard plastic. I just need to know if this is normal? Like a break-in period for the muffler and pipe. I have read on some other forums including car and truck forums that a brand new exhaust system will have a bad smell for a little while, due to the gaskets setting, paint curing, machining oil burning off, etc. I just need to know if the same holds true for scooters. This is the first muffler I have replaced on a scooter. Thank you all for your help in this matter.

[replyingto=quadrunner]quadrunner[/replyingto]Hey quadrunner. Congrats on the purchase. Looks good. I see you are from Brownsville, Tx. I live in Corpus Christi, Tx. What HID kit did you go with. Meaning, what color did you go with? I am thinking about upgrading to HIDs as well, but I can't decide if I want the ice white or the blue. My cars have true white headlights, but I would like my scooter to stand out a bit more. Did you have to do any modifications to allow for the upgraded bulbs all the way around your scooter? Like the 1156 bulbs or the led corner bulbs. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see more pics as the upgrades continue.

Hey everyone. I will be posting pics of the custom modifications I am doing to my scooter very soon. But, in the mean time, feel free to post any and all of your pics of custom modifications to your scooters. That way everyone can see how you are making your scooter stand out from the crowd, and maybe inspire others to truly make their own scooters more personalized to them. Thanks for reading and as akways, SAFE RIDING and HAVE A GOOD DAY?

[replyingto=new2scootn]new2scootn[/replyingto]Thanks new2scootin for the link. I guess I will keep trying to find parts or I might just have to start fabricating them myself. You know, make it a completely one off custom.

Thanks Alleyoop. By the way, just off the top of your head, do you know if it is possible to put two piston calipers on the sunny 150cc reverse trike? I would like better stopping power and I can't seem to find any calipers that match mine anywhere online. I would like to put 3 two piston calipers on my scooter. Any idea what brands are compatible with sunny scooters and where I can go online to find them? Once again, THANKS for the advice.

Hey everyone. I recently purchased a DongFang 150cc reverse trike from a private seller for $725. The scooter runs great. I do have a small leak coming from the front left brake caliper. Other than that it runs great and I enjoy riding it. Does anyone know where I can find replacement body parts. The previous owner laid the scooter on it's side while trying to turn it around and cracked the fairing on the right side of the headlight along with the windshield. There are pieces of plastic missing from where the windshield is supposed to be attached. So, does anyone know where I can find replacement pieces? Also, can anyone tell me what kind of front brake caliper is compatible with a DongFang 150cc reverse trike? I have looked just about everywhere online and can't seem to find one that looks the same as mine. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

quick question. Where do I go to ask questions about scooter body parts for my scooter? By the way, it is a Dongfang 150cc reverse trike. I know, not the best scooter out there, but I couldn't pass it up. Not for $725. It runs great. It does have a leak in the left front brake caliper, and of coarse the front fairing is cracked from the previous owner laying it down, but other than that, it is a great scooter and I enjoy riding.
