It's just about riding weather here in Idaho. I've got 17,000 miles on the stock tires that came on my 2006 Tank. Lincoln could probably wear a tophat and it still wouldn't touch the tread. My main question is: Where is the best place, best brand and type of tire to buy. My commute is roughly 17 miles each way with an average speed of 45-50 mph.

When I checked with the local motorcycle shop last November, they were comparable with Motorcycle Superstore. They were having a sale then, though. I didn't buy then, but will need to soon, but they may very well still be in the ballpark. I like to buy locally when possible.

Don't forget about balancing the tires. I have used the Dyna Beads and they worked great.
RP Bottom line: Balance the tires

With the Dyna Beads, how do you know what size ounces to buy for your size tire?

HI richardthescooter,I bought the dynabeads for my scooter and the web sight will have the info for you ,they make beads for all sizes ,cars and trucks as well..don't remember now ,but it is about 2 or three oz per scoot tire and they will sell a kit with the right amount ,instructions, and with a tube to connect to your valve stem ...keep the tube after you're done, since you might need to remove them later and put them in another tire---here is the link---check it out .innovativebalancing.com/index.php" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.innovativebalancing.com/index.php
