I`m back! OK Here`s what i can do. I bought a Laptop computer with a webcam built into it. Pretty good one too. I`m gonna set up some lights so you can see everything and take video of the scoot and the motor and hoses. Then if you want and you can tell me when you will be available i can carry the laptop out and show you live and in realtime. Or I can Post the video on here if i can figure it out. This is all new to me but i want that scooter for transportation. Let me know and i`ll get going on the video and see what i can come up with ok.

Mine has low compression and they think thats why it won`t run. They didn`t charge me a dime but suggested i take it elsewhere. The compression was 90 and they said it should be well over 100.
Lefty, Alley, w/e lmsao
thers his prob, low compression
shouldnt compression be over 150 or so?

If his compression is under 100 the sucker will probably not start and it is either his valves and or rings leaking. But DANSO we can pretty much verify if they were correct about the compression being to low.
Take the SPARK PLUG out and STICK YOUR FINGER in the HOLE and hold it blocking the hole nice and snuge. HOLD THE THROTTLE WIDE OPEN and CRANK IT. A. If you just feel a little pressure or nothing NOT GOOD. B. If it pushs your finger off the hole it has enough compression for it to run have way descent Alleyoop

No it does not push my finger off. I feel pressure but not enough to move my finger off. I guess I have to do some major work or junk the thing huh? The shop i took it to said he dribbled some oil down the clyender and got better pressure but I don`t know how to reenact that to check myself.

To redo that test, pour a teaspoon of oil down the spark plug hole and RE-DO the FINGER test. What that does if you get more compression is tells you that the rings are shot. Alleyoop

Redid the test this morning and i do have more compression. So my Rings are shot. How can they be when it only has 250 miles on it? I guess i should be asking is there a quick fix or am i gonna have to put in new rings because i don`t know if i can do it? Gonna need a walkthrough.

Was just checking on how to do above job and if i have to do all that i may as well get a big bore kit and upgrade. Couldn`t be any harder than just doing the rings!

250 miles!!! So are you saying the scoot is BRAND NEW!!! Did you check your valves see if a .004 or .005 fit the gaps or the gaps on the rockers are closed. BEFORE you tear it apart check them out and set them the TOP INTAKE VALVE to .004 inchs and the BOTTOM EXHAUST to .005 inchs, and see if it acts better. Alleyoop

Yes i did a valve adjust about everytime i look at it just to make sure it`s right but i set both at .004 because i don`t know the difference between top and bottom. which is which?

As you look at the rockers under the valve cover look at where the SPRINGS are, the one with the SPRING on TOP is YOUR INTAKE Valve that is where it SUCKS IN GAS AND AIR. The One with the SPRING on the BOTTOM is your EXAHUST VALVE that is the one that takes a DUMP out of the tailpipe Alleyoop

Yes it would start PROVIDED the motor has enough compression. But it appears your motor needs rings. I thought maybe if the Valves were tight that would be enough to have it start but it appears even if the valves are good the rings are to far gone. A motor will start and run with If the compression is 100+ but if the compression is below 100 that is all she wrote.
You did not answer my question is this a USED scoot or have you had it for a long time. How many miles on it. Alleyoop

Then it should still be under warranty? Call the dealer you bought it from tell them it died on you all of a sudden and you took it to a mechanic and he said you have no compression. Alleyoop
