Recently my scoot has some issues, rough idle at stop signs, I believe my clutch or variator is still engauged when I stop, sometimes my scoot will stall or when starting out it will stall out, alleyoop believes its either broken or weak contra spring or clutch pad springs. so today I rode when coming home same thing rough idle, so I took it apart, took pictures so you can see if it looks normal. Before you look at the spring, check your weights. They might not be resetting correctly or getting stuck. If one weight had turned and is not seated correctly, it will hold the front pulley open.

Well looking at the 1st picture and 2nd picture and seeing the belt having slack and the belt DOWN in the clutch pulley it cannot be your weights. If it was your Variator the belt on the Variator would be high pulling the clutch pulley apart and the belt would be tight.

Just a quick tip. When you're test-riding, be sure not to do so with the CVT cover off. I did that a few times and it lead me in the wrong direction. I thought it was stumbling on takeoff, but what happens is the center stand rubber stop comes in contact with the belt (rather than sitting against the CVT cover) giving it a 'bucking' feeling.
I know that's not what's going on with you, but just wanted to mention that for when the 'test ride' comes.

First, make sure your idle speed and idle fuel mixture is correct. Too fast and the clutch will be partially engaged, too slow or bad mixture setting and the motor may not take up the load smoothly.
Check the springs under the clutch bell. There is more than one and you may have a weak or broken spring letting one of the friction shoes contact the bell at idle.

Here is my update on scoot  Friday took variator off and clutch, replaced main torque spring in my clutch, check out clutch pad springs, (they were good) cleaned and regreased, check out my variator (it had issues also, had a roller out of place), and it need greased, put everything back in and its running great.
