I've seen this thread on car forums and it's pretty fun. Basically, if you did anything to your scooter on a particular day, you post it! Extra kudos if you include pictures or 'how-to's' - but not required. On the subject of pictures, I'll post mine tomorrow But today I performed quite a pleasant upgrade on my mc54-250 scoot. Instlled some 4300k, 35w HID headlight bulbs, ran wires for my 12v accessory outlet, wired up a voltmeter and also wired up switches for the headlights so I can control the left from the right (pretty cool!) Now I just need to take it out tonight and go blind some people [edit] - Just tested them.. had my wife stand at the driveway and watch as I drove towards her from down the street. She said from a distance, people would think I'm a cop or something they're so bright. I hit the brights half-way to her and according to her they were downright blinding.. this was with only one turned on too As for my own visibility.. holy cow! These things rock!

Great job. You will be very Pleased with the upgrade you just did. My day with the scooter was getting my horn working again. The switch was broke but that was not the only problem the Horn it self was shot too. Well instead of trying to get a whole new set of left controls I added a few inches of wire on to the wires for the horn to run to a new switch. I had an old weed eater that the primer bubble was shot on so was not useable I scavenged the Kill switch off of it to use as a new horn switch works perfect. I JB welded it just below where the old switch was. Then we took a nice 60 ish mile ride... GREAT DAY..... :

Mine is more interesting if I expand it to "this weekend" instead of today. Today I commuted as usual, loving every minute. This weekend I finally finished repairing the breaks in the black body plastic I had from my collision with a deer in September. The ABS cement I used for the broken fairing wouldn't work on the black plastic, and I ended up using Loctite epoxy for plastic and its holding great. I would never have finished if I had to do a plastic weld. A number of fairing attachment points were broken when the screws pulled out of the black plastic at the crash, and I ended up epoxying in black plastic air valve caps that I shaped with my dremel. People don't believe me when I tell them how much i enjoyed it all!!

Today I pasted her in a dimly lite room. She was sitting there doing what she does best, just looking good. As I slowly past (yes I was ogling her) I caught sight of her firm, round... headlight. I playful ran a finger along the hem of her short, black skirt. Lovingly, I caressed hers sides and let my hands wander to the place... all men want to get to. Thoughts of where I was going to take her... for a ride next flood my mind as I gently patted her seat in passing. M/C Hey! It was pouring buckets outside, what were you thinking!

I had cage issues today- I busted Tire Works for creating problems that did not exist with a tire on my mothers cage. That's another thread though. As for the scoot..... Changed the oil in 105 degree weather and repainted my cheapo exhaust pics of before and after will be added later.

Terrilee, you are a tough lady!!! Just one comment: If you pushed it up hill why didn't you ride(coasting) down hill? And congrats on solving the problem. I would still be trying to figure it out!!!

Well today I installed 19g (24x18) dr pulley sliders.
Sadly, I'm not as impressed as I was hoping I'd be. They're smoother than the OKO 20g rollers I had, especially off the line.. feels more 'refined' and acceleration from 0-20 does feel better.. but that's about it. Really don't notice any change in actual acceleration (outside of the 'feel/smoothness' or top-end. Of course acceleration is way better than my OEM rollers but right now I'm just comparing against my 20g OKO's. And these sliders could very well be faster.. acceleration-wise.. i just don't have the data. I guess what I'm saying is, the "wow" factor going from 20g rollers to 19g sliders isn't the same 'wow' factor I got going from the stock 23g? rollers to 20g rollers. To be expected I guess.
So this has taught me one thing - the weight of the rollers/sliders themselves seem to make a far larger impact than the type. I will say though, my 20g rollers only had about 500 miles on them and were already showing signs of wear. So I suppose the sliders will have the durability advantage.
Anyway, for those interested, GPS'd top-speed was about 65.4mph, but it was hot out today.. 95 degrees. I'm 6'2", 230lbs. Oddly enough, my speedometer showed about 72mph... it's as if it's getting more accurate (it used to say 80mph @ 65mph) the more I ride LOL!
[edit] - Forgot to mention, I also bled my front brake. MAN, that stock stuff was NASTY. Dark, dingy, dirty, staaaaank! Brake feel has improved x10 - just like the rear after I did that.

Changed the front brake pads today.
Three days ago I JB Welded a strong tiny magnet in the bottom of the oil drain plug. Did the third and final oil change on the new motor today and found no metal pieces. Only found some deposits on the magnet the consistency of graphite. Should keep my oil super clean if it's stopping stuff small enough to make it through the screen.
