Well for the last couple of weeks my scooter has not been idling right and when i accelerate i would hear pop pop pop from the exhaust. i thought it was maby a vacuum leak but checked and nothing. I read on other forums about Seafoam so i went to autozone and bought a bottle i saw your only suppose to add 2 capfulls but i ended up adding 1/4 of the bottle to my tank and then filled with premium gas from Shell (V POWER) and after riding for about an hour to two hours all my problems went away. No more popping sounds the scooter idles perfect so yea i highly recommend this product to everybody!

That happened to me a week ago. No popping, just a bad idle. Seafoam did the trick for me too. I just added more then the norm on my last 2 fill ups.

Yes seafoam is some pretty good stuff, but Popping is caused by to much fuel so my thinking is that the Enricher was stuck open allowing extra fuel to be sucked in causeing the popping and the seafoam freed it up and allowed it to close. Alleyoop

I don't like those you have to actually have access to the carb to choke it and then unchoke it. Show us how you have it on your scoot and how you access it. Alleyoop Here is my setup:

The Seafoam likely cleared varnish in the carb...or carbon on a valve seat...

The Seafoam likely cleared varnish in the carb...or carbon on a valve seat... Hey sprocket i was thinking something like that when my idle went south on me but fixed itself. But i wounder if it might have been the idle jet. (?) In the 3 years i'v had this scooter i have yet pull the carb..thanks to seafoam. (and My PDI from hell twice a year) Now i'll ask the imposable '?' what do you thank the chances are that it might have been a slightly clogged jet? ---------------------------------------------- Sprocket and allyoop Im not asking for facts so much as just you'r $.02

Well since Popping is caused by to much fuel the jets and or passage COULD NOT BE CLOGGED. Clogged jets or passages would create LESS fuel to be fed which causes a LEAN condition, which the motor may make a bruping sound, backfires and or bogging. my .02 for what its worth Alleyoop

I keep a bottle around, it goes in the car if its going to sit around and in the scoots every now and again. It certainly doesn't do any harm and seems to do plenty of good for folks
