Hi I’m in Phoenix, AZ and I just bought my first scooter. A 2012 jonway yy250t. The dealer told me never take it over 45mph then at 300miles change the oil and gear oil. After doing this I have taken this on the freeway and I love this scooter, however now its having heating problems. After reviewing forums here, I decided to start taking the body panels off to do a flush. After removing the plastic guard in front of the radiator I noticed that there a couple dings in the radiator but no leak trail on the radiator BUT there is dried coolant at the bottom of the radiator guard I removed. I think this is from the overflow hose from the clear plastic fill tank, but couldn’t confirm. I did not see a radiator cap or drain plug so I first detached the hose at the bottom left of the radiator (sitting on bike view) and detached the same hose leading to what I think is the water pump. I spliced this hose leading to again what looks like the water pump and installed the “prestone flush kit”. I hooked up the garden hose and flushed the coolant out and the coolant and water came through the radiator plastic fill container. I turned the scooter on during flush so get all the coolant out and more coolant did until it was just water. I then turned off the water, again drained the water out of the bottom of radiator (same hose) and allowed the water to drain out of the “flush kit T adapter”. I then filled the the reservoir up with a coolant called “liquid ice”. Let the motor run and after it got Hot I’m assuming the thermostat opened up but the temperature went down and the reservoir was empty. I filled the reservoir back up and after a while the temperature got hot again but wont go down. I heard about burping and so I opened up the cap on the “flush kit T” I installed. Some coolant came out but never heard a “belch”. I topped off the reservoir and the motor gets hot really fast and stays off. If I turn the bike off for about 20 mins the temp gauge shows its back to cool again. I feel like I wasted a whole day on this and it has to be ready for me to ride on Tuesday for work. I need to know where is my thermostat, How does the coolant circulate (direction). Did I burp it right? How do I fix this so my scooter is not getting Hot all the time. Thank you. images.v12soft.com/photos/fox7BFV/5547480/File0_026046_800600.jpg
