Just buy new gaskets!!!! A complete set is only a few bucks. DO NOT use that one again!!!! As for cleaning, you can try Carb cleaner/ lapping compound but, I think your gonna have to go ultrasonic. The damage is done. You may just wanna replace the top end. Probably cheaper in the long run. Just My Opinion. |

That's a pretty clean cut on the tree stump. No wonder the mower got damaged  Just kiddin. Simple yet effective. That's good ole American ingenuity. Great idea!!!! I do have an old mower so, I guess I need to learn welding now. |

This is a beautiful thing ya got going on here Professor. I can't wait to see the result in 6 months!!!!! I think it was Buford that put a link to here on SD.(first link I saw) Now A google search for "Scooter Professor" has this forum as the first result!!!!!!!! That has to be the biggest security solution I've ever seen. Just thought I would share. I was amazed at that chain/lock. I doubt I could even fit it under my seat on a little 50cc. The extra 200lbs may reduce my top speed a bit  I just went to the hardware store and got another cable. The thieves couldn't cut it the first time so I figured it was good enough but, If your really paranoid that's an option. ;D ;D |

About 2 weeks ago some thieving brute tried stealing my scoot. I rode to work and locked my scoot to a concrete stop sign like usual. Now I mostly work from midnight on but, that Sunday I went in at 5am. After my shift was over I put on my gear and unlocked the scoot. Well, I found the deep cut in my cable from a pair of bolt cutters. I got lucky with more than one lock on my scoot the thief moved on. They did not cut my lock or cable but, they tried. Now security is a real concern for me. I need to get a new chain/cable so i did a little research. Check out these bad boys (Oh and that lock) Now the cost of the lock is around 250usd The chain is fairly cheap at 150usd but, shipping will cost more than a new 50cc scoot. This is a bit much for my use but, if you have the cash, This should protect just about anything |
