Well, I received the pair of shocks from the link above and they are the exact replacement and a adjustable. The mounting ears are different just like the originals. This is the only source I could find after spending many hours on line and the phone. At about $50 for the pair, you can't beat that!!

As mentioned up thread, the rear body panels should be removed as one piece even though they are two seperate panels. Unlpug the tail light harness and the two rear panels plus the tail light assembly comes off in one piece. The reaon for this is because the two panels are connected together with a black metal strap, plus a screw. They are not accessible prior to removal of the assembly (see photo).

There is no question! It is technical data for members that may find it helpful.

In the process of troubleshooting a thermal problem on my scooter, I decided to check the calibration of the temp guage so that I could equate what the guage displays vs what the coolant temperature really is. It was done with the temp thermistor removed and the calibration (resistance) read while immersed in a controlled oil bath. The guage calibration was characterized by using a precison resistance decade and recording the guage readings vs resistance (simulating the thermistor). The data was plotted on the graph attached. As you will note, the thermistor is very non-linear. The results turned out a little better than I expected because the markings on the guage are not linear and compensate somewhat. Note that in spite of the non-linearity, the span between each 25% mark on the guage is between 23-28Deg F. which is not bad. The results can be summarized for each of the markings. 0% = 128 Deg F. 25% = 155 Deg F. 50% = 180 Deg F. 75% = 203 Deg F. 100% = 230 Deg F. Some variations may exist between different thermistors due to manufacturing tolerances, but this should be close enough for a feel of the guage calibration. Doug

I purchased a used 2008 Jonway YY-250T with only 300 miles on it. In the process of troubleshooting a cooling problem I removed the rear side panels to get access the engine and discovered a loose (upper) bolt on the frame that appears to be for the left shock absorber that is missing. It also appears that the right and left shocks have different mounting ears on them. A search of all the parts places on line only show one shock style. The sketches on the Jonway web site show what appears to be the right shocks (different mounting for left and right). See sketch for reference. .jonwayusa.com/English/PartsShow.asp?id=90" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.jonwayusa.com/English/PartsShow.asp?id=90Do any of these on line parts places know what they are doing? They all seem to copy the same catalogue and none of them have the correct part listed for the left shock. Also, the existing shock installed on the right side appears to be adjustable with a spanner wrench for spring pressure. It this the original shock for the bike and are the replacements the same thing?

Is there some way to access other manuals that might be listed on richscooterdoc.com?
