Just remember you are adding all that weight aft of truck. Be careful especially in the wet and interstate exits and entrances where you scooter could try to pass you. You have a good truck and thats half the battle.

That's OK, Terri. I told you about my truck driving to N.C. for my neighbors what I didn't tell you is that their cat will be riding with me. I insisted on it. I drive best with cold Mountain Dew and good company. It should be a 16 hour drive and Doublestuff will rule the cab. I will set him up with a litter box, water, food, his favorite music, and munchies. No cage for him. I will take pics. of him and post, after all he loves to hang here. I would let him share the driving but he doesn't have a CDL and we might get caught at a weigh station.

First of all I'm sooo glad to read a post by you. I have been worried. B- nice set up for the children and a big plus is it can be modified with a few zip ties and a little time. 3- where the heck have you been, never mind its none of my business, just glad to hear from you.

Everything went great today. A person I know has a scooter shop and after looking at my Gates belt, spring, and rollers told me they were OK. I replaced my clutch with one he rebuilt for $40.00. It takes a little more RPM to get moving but the hook up is more positive. I like it. Not radical at all. With the help of this forum (the people) my first trip into CVT-clutch-world was good. Thank you.

Well I didn't get as lucky as you. I pulled the bell and one of the return springs and 1/2 its mount fell out. Its got a Gates Powerlink belt and it looks good but I am of the mindset that while its apart go with a new belt, rollers, and spring since I will be replacing the clutch.

The same thing happened to my 150 Jonway today. I am going to pull the CVT cover and see whats up. Could be nasty in there as its been under a tarp in the rain for 4 days. First mile ok then it happened.

Yeah, why not? My Royal Enfield, 500cc single and my wife's 250 Honda Rebel average 75 MPG. I just did a check on my 08 Jonway 150. 88.3 MPG. Its flat here, most of my riding is at 30-35 MPH with some 40 mph cruising. I am very easy on the gas and I only weigh 165 lbs. And yes, the odo is in miles. My Royal Enfield at a 45-50 MPH cruise at 2,700- 2,900 RPM will easily top 80 MPG. And yes, your MPG will drop the faster go by a lot. Attachments:

Thats the reason I stopped looking on C. L. I did a 150 mile round trip only to find out the "perfect condition" scooter has a bent forks. Never again.

Thanks Alley, I am going to transplant my good GY6 150 into a better looking body (the old one is missing parts and in very poor condition) soon. At that time I will take advantage of it being accessible and go over it with CVT mods. and a gearing change. No engine mods. are planned and I live in a totally flat location and normally ride below 45 mph. I weigh 165 lbs. so its a light load.

Do you have a vacuum petcock and did you reattach the vacuum line? If so open the float bowl drain with the screw at the bottom of the carb. with the drain hose in a container and see if fuel is getting to the carb. This will help to remove any air in the line. If not back track to the tank.
