Hello Experts Scooters guys, greetings from Caracas, I'm having some problems with my front suspension, it goes to the bottom when brake the bike and when I'm in rough terrain badly, then I wonder if it will be enough are just get all the Chinese oil and put a good oil 15w as Motul Fork Oil My bike is similar to the Roketa MC-79-250, I would like to know your opinions if it is a good way to just remove the hex screw from below and above the forks, without removing the entire front forks could work for me. this are the photos of the hex screws. Screw top Forks.
Hex Screw bottom Forks.
The forks:
Thank you for you help and comments!

in fact it is not smaller, unlike the variator fan it is a bigger just millimeters, for which I had to scrape and polish the transmission cover so that it will not stick..already buy a New belt powerlink 856 , and remove all grease from the rollers and variator , I placed, Rollers of 11 gr (4 ) and 14gr (4) as an experiment to see that such =)..
Thanks for your feedback JR & fflintstone

Questions? What belt do you have, the 871 or 856? Also did you put the old rollers in from the old variator? Lastly the variator for the Linhai is a dry type variator, grease over time will make the rollers stick. If you change to sliders grease is a no no too. JR Hello, the belt is 856, and the rollers are New, I do the YP250 manual says, Just that!

Hello Folks, recently I change the CVT transmission by spare parts Malossi ( variator, clutch), the original was doing many noises and additionally the variator broke the spring clip, by which the bike was accelerated alone. I change everything less the belt, that looks good, but when I installed the new parts I realized a problem with the belt which after assembling all over again it looks as if it was misaligned and stretched, I imagine that I need install a new one, but this belt Powerlink has only 8156km ( 5068mi ) of use. I leave you to the video of the belt and some photos of the variator Chinese and the new variator and Malossi clutch =). The old Variator with dry swamp... the new variator Malossi with some grease MHR Malossi =)The cluth and contra-SPring malossi. The Belt installed with the new spare parts. I don't have impact wrench is too expensive in my country ( 350 usd ) ok, comment about CVT are welcome

Dear Good afternoon, I would like to upgrade to the rear shocks my scooter 250 because they are very soft and lately the left rear shock this grinding, the same measure 315mm eye-to-eye, I understand that they are filled with oil and are not adjustable. I've been reviewing some sites on the web, but most of these rear shocks are Chinese for that size, I wonder is there some better quality and adjustable? Could I place them some of those that are 325mm or 340mm? I was actually reviewing the original part Yamaha YP250 in Europe but the cost is about 200 USD and measured as 345mm, 30 mm difference is: 3cm . some suggestion for an nice and solid upgrade of the same is welcome! Thank you! These are some pics from my scoot

Btw--while you are changing that Chinese oil out of your scooter ,be sure to flush that antifreeze out as well...we call it cool aide ,and install a good brand antifreeze--and I would change the brake fluid and differential oil--we use 80-90 in the rear end--the valve stems are also suspect, usually of plastic and will crack --replace with a good brand of valve stem-when I first read of this ,my scooter had only a 1000 miles on it ,and the stems were already cracked in the rim--not much trouble to replace them and worth it---it is well documented in earlier threads--happy trails, fflintstone The Valves stem, I recently had to change that Valve in my rear wheel, that began to crack, I put a Auto Valve, I use the steps given for JR some time ago, thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/thread/1586, excellent tutorial, and I clean and grease all that bearings and stuff, before to mount the wheel again.

While on the same topic; how often should you change oil and what is a correct break-in period? There seem to be as many opinions as there are types of oil? Thanks. Depends your Bike, My break-in was "ride it like you'll ride it" , but in the highway I running hard, I used the advices from this link .scooterfocus.com/scooter_break-in.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.scooterfocus.com/scooter_break-in.html, and works for me. If a new Chinese scoot, more than necessary change the oil before you ride, this scooters come brand new with a green oil that is only to preserve the engine parts, follow your manual specs, by example use a good ( Valvoline, Castrol ) Dyno 10w30 oil and gear oil , change the oil every 250 km, until 1000 Km, after that as you prefer change 1000 to 1500km, with your oil preferred. I still use Dyno oil (20w50) with 5730 Km with no problems.

The synthetic oil last longer, that's true, however this scooters doesn't have oil filter, the good ones, just a metal mesh to catch waste of oil, this my concern about oils, I begin with 20w50 oil made in my country ( Oilven Premiun 4t ), and I think I'll continue doing this as now

I've used 20/50W dino oil for the entire life of my 250B with no issues, in fact in hot climates I would use nothing else and oil density will not make any engine shake or vibrate. I use Castrol 20W/50W and have over 12,000 miles on the scooter. JR JR , one question , Do you use Castrol 20W50 Actevo X-tra 4T Motorcycle Oil or Castrol GTX 20W-50 Conventional Motor Oi l ?
