I'm asking why some people do it and some don't. The link is just a diagram, it has no real answers.

Our local power company (many around the country do) mails CFL bulbs out for free if you sign up. We get about 8-10 bulbs a year in 3-4 styles and wattages. Call customer service and ask, all they can say is no.

We had 80 degree weather and then snow on the ground 30 hours later. Spring in the Bluegrass as usual.

91-93. Better safe than sorry, detonation can kill a motor quickly. Small high revving engines with advanced timing/perfomance CDI needs as big of a safety net as you can provide.

Here is the main alarm connector. From L-R. 1st wire appears to be ant. 8 & 9 are siren. Haven't tested the rest to see what they are.

Is it to benefit the AC side or the DC side of the electrical system? Both? Pro's vs Con's?

It has 4 connectors. 2 input, 2 output. Bypassing the alarm and hooking the connectors to their matching halves kills all power to the scooter. The alarm Is more than what it appears. Dissecting it will wait untill I build a new harness.

I found an alarm behind the headlight, looks factory or well installed since everything is plug and play with no taps or splices. I have no remote to it.
Any problem with removing it or is there something built in that is required? It seems to have too many wires for just being an alarm. Searched for alarm removal with 0 results.

I'm in Lexington, heart of the Bluegrass. I didn't think there would be many KY members, nice to know there are a few.

New here, ran across the board looking for info on the 11 pole stator upgrade. Odd first mod, but stock is dead so it's one of those "while I'm in here.." deals. Looks like a good place to share and learn! (no pun intended)
