Is it to benefit the AC side or the DC side of the electrical system? Both? Pro's vs Con's?

I'm asking why some people do it and some don't. The link is just a diagram, it has no real answers.

They put a stator with more poles because they usually want Brighter Head Lights and or want HID Headlights and or want to add more accessories. With more poles you can add more electrical items that a stator with less poles cannot handle. Alleyoop

Is it to benefit the AC side or the DC side of the electrical system? Both? Pro's vs Con's? No benefit at all to the AC side? With a 11 pole stator there is no AC side except to the CDI. That doesn't change. No cons just pros, better charging system, allows more accessories and system is all DC electrically and I've summed it all up in one post.
The 11 pole stator is 3-phase with 3 wires and a ground going to the R/R and the pulse coil wire along with one wire from the single coil that feeds AC to the CDI, other than that all DC.

tvnacman.blogspot.com/I use heated clothing , my lights are at a constant illumination . I don't need to take my battery out ever to charge . I cat sit st a traffic light with my heated gear on , turn signal flashing hand on the brake and stay over 13.5vdc . With the 6 or 8 pole I did not not hold the brake and leave my signals on . John

Slightly off thread, but what's a pulse coil? Is is the coil that I know from cars back in the days of my youth, i.e., boosts voltage high enough to create a spark at the plug electrode? If I traced back down my plug wire, would the other end plug into the pulse coil? Just looking for more general knowledge here.

the reason for the 7 pin R/R is that the 4 pin R/R is not compatible with the 11 pole stator and Ally you are mistaken I am still running my A/C CDI system with the 11 pole stator the reason for going to the 11 pole setup is to gain more amps D/C to keep the battery charged while running more acc on the bike like extra lights , heated clothing or in my case an EFI system

Pulse coil as some call it = trigger coil which of course sends the signal to the CDI of when to fire.

So there is a "pulse coil" and also a "coil coil" that jumps up the voltage from the CDI to where it will produce a spark? Have never had my plastics off enough to see that stuff, and haven't found a diagram that shows it.
