I think there's a bad ground myself probably the termination at the head assembly itself

Once full of fuel the float needle should shut the fuel off

The vin number is what you should need,,that's on the steering stem of the frame

How many lines? Fuel feed line is one,,,then there's a bowl drain that goes on the spigot on the bottom for draining the bowl for service so you don't dump fuel all over the engine,,then there's a vent on top of the bowl area,,then either off the intake manifold there should be a line going to the auto fuel valve ,,,that should just about wrap it up I would think
