Hello all! I am a re-scooter-er taking delivery (hopefully) in about a week of a new TaoTao 150. I had a yamaha vino 125 years ago, but never did anything but ride it (never turned wrench one on it).
This one though is coming as a scooter-in-a-box to force me to learn about it by tearing it down and putting it back together before I even start it, PLUS, apparently, I should plan to go thru as much lock-tite as humanly possible, based on what I've read and seen on the 13-part PDI video series from youtube (90gtvert).
I have done fairly extensive wrenching on cars back 30+ years ago (60s muscle cars, rebuilding motors, changing out trannys, bodywork, etc.) so I am not too worried about having the skill set to handle putting this scooter together and servicing it. I have browsed just a little on here, but I saw where some have mentioned a "PDI Guide" from "Big Guy" or something like that, but I cant seem to find it.
Since I have about a week before my big box arrives, I am looking to read/view as many different PDI instruction sets I can get my hands/eyes on. Looking forward to learning first, then sharing my experience forward, once I have something worthy to share! Anyone with any guidance on PDI or assembly inside or outside of the forum would be much appreciated. ESPECIALLY, those "When I first got mine, I wish I woulda ..." type items.
Thanks for any help!
