mine doesn't want to slide off. Im not sure what's wrong with it. When I pull it towards me it feels like it's hitting some kind of stop.

I took the fan side of the variator off with the impact wrench. The other half of the variator moves back and forth, but is there a trick to getting it off?
Thanks,

I agree it was worth the $60 I paid for one at Auto Zone. Unfortunately the nearest Harbor Freight is over an hour away.
I'm really glad I got it now though, it will definitely come in handy when it comes time to put a new belt on my Silver Wing. It will save me the cost of the service, hell, the belt itself is $150!!

Wrong Belt

Completely shredded unfortunately. I'm pretty convinced I need the 1000 belt now, I don't think 40mm would make much of a difference, but 178 would.

The belt I got is an 828 22.5 from Scrappy Dog Scooters. I was pleased that it go here so fast, but now I'm thinking I got the wrong belt.
Do I need the 868 or the 1000?

Did I get the wrong belt, or am I just not able to compress the spring on the clutch end enough? I resized the picture it was to big and causing to scroll left and right. Alleyoop

After watching more videos I'm not going to risk any more fan blades being broken, I'm just going to bite the bullet and get an impact wrench. Maybe I will get a lot of use out of it, who knows?

I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but is there some special trick to getting the variator nut off?
I already broke one spline off the variator trying to get this nut off just so I can put the new belt on. On my honda there is a variator tool that fits into holes on the variator, but on this one there is nothing but splines.
Do you have to use an impact wrench? I will get one if I need to but I was hoping to avoid the expense.
I tried putting the belt on without removing the variator like I see in some videos but there's no way it fits over the back end enough to leave room to go over the entire variator. Does that mean I have the wrong belt? It seems like the right one.
It's a Rocketa clone withe the 244cc engine.
Thanks for all you guys' help so far.

CVT Bolt

When I purchased this Shen 250-22 (Rocketa clone with 244cc engine) I noticed there was a bolt missing from the CVT cover. It didn't bother me much, although it seemed like some dirt and junk could get in that way. When I was riding it yesterday, the drive belt snapped. But hey, I only had to take one bolt off to get in, right? Now that I've pulled out all the bits of the shredded belt and I'm ready to put on a new one (as soon as I order it) I want to replace that bolt, but I'm having trouble finding one. If anyone knows a good site (sponsor even?) that can supply the belt, the bolt and a CVT gasket, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!
