I took the fan side of the variator off with the impact wrench. The other half of the variator moves back and forth, but is there a trick to getting it off?
Thanks,

Take your belt off the variator and it will slide right off, just when removing the variator you need to squeeze it together so your roller weights don't fall out of place.

mine doesn't want to slide off. Im not sure what's wrong with it. When I pull it towards me it feels like it's hitting some kind of stop.

Spray wd40 in around the boss shaft and it should come off.

Give it a couple few light raps witha rubber mallet or something that will not damage the metal. A piece of wood will work, it is stuck on from the heat and dirt and black dust from the belt. Alleyoop
