I am changing my stator today. I had to take the exhaust manifold off and the rubber gasket is falling apart.
Could you give me a link to a 2007 Roketa MC-54 250b header/ manifold gasket.
I also took off the metal part where you put new oil in. The stator is right behind that. That takes a gasket also.
I need a gasket link for that also.
Looks like my wires were melted together up the stator. This should solve my stator problem.
Just need those two gaskets to order.

Nice ridecheap, where did you get those mirrors (awesome looking) I'm getting ready soon to work on my scoot, got all new panels I bought the mirrors on ebay a few months ago. I just looked in my Archive purchases and this person selling them is no longer selling them. I searched ebay : scooters mirrors -- I still cant find them.

I am off the line like a bat out of hell with these new Dr Pully Sliders 15 grams. I did hit 60 with them first time newly installed and they smell like rubber ( they kind of wouldnt let me go faster on the throttle maybe new to break in?). I can smell a rubber smell and it gives alittle vibration too. Otherwise major performance increase. Excellent job. That red cover really pops. I was thinking earlier of doing the same to my brake calipers. Do you have any pics of the Xenon install? I was thinking they'd need a ballast. I'll be upgrading all my lights soon as well. I wonder if that rubber you're smelling is in fact the belt slipping from too much low end torque. That would be something to keep an eye on, so you don't end up stranded from a shredded belt. Thanks JR and Wheezy for the comments. Yeah its VHR caliper paint I used. The rubber smell is gone and everything revs high and strong and I am hitting past top speed it just needed to get warmed up because it was sitting in the garage for a few weeks while I did the upgrades. Yes I have a video of the lights on youtube. I said it was a kit but I just changed out the bulbs H4 or H5 xenon I forgot but it was like 6000. I just ajusted the carborator with a screw driver so wheel does not spin now.

( I TALK LIKE A IDIOT) This is my 2007 Roketa 250cc chinese scooter. I just caliper painted the variator fan and clutch assembly red. I put 15 gram Dr Pully sliders in and pulled out the old rollers it makes a big difference SMOOTH. I put on a pit bike clear stator cover and moded it for the variator fan. I left the bolts space so I can go in there to tighten up the variator fan bolt when I need to (looks good too). I have the FMF exhaust on it and and the uni air filter on the stock intake. I put Michelin 13inch tires and Xenon light bulbs in it no kit.
Blast to ride!

I needed just a variator fan by itself because I broke a few fins and JR was nice enough to give me a link to this site. I ordered the variator fan for $30.00 and when it came in the mail the thing was scratched abit and used. It was not a new part. I didnt have time to bitch and send it back so I am using it.
I doubt I will ever shop here again. The package was sent from a SUIT address in texas so it was not like a real store.

Yeah you learn alot working on the scooter. You replace parts that you know will wear and get better quality stock parks aka aftermarket. 15,000 miles and going to 25,000 is common on chinese scooters with regular maintenance. I have not touched the engine, carb or clutch yet on mine.
The only thing your overpaying is for a brand label and some patents that work the same on a Chinese scooter. Your aftermarket parts are better patents then the name brand manufactures. You have the Roketa clone engine of a Yamaha majesty 250cc for example some say it needs maintenance engine wise (pistons, breaks, calipers) in the 35,000 mile range but thats not alot.
Bought this Roketa used for $850 its 250cc and put mods into about 1200 to 1300 total so far. This gets me all over the city, highway but long distance I go with a brand name thats over 250cc and a motorcycle.

I love Chinese scooters for the simple fact they are cheap, enough quality and if needs a new part cheap to fix it yourself. Most are clone engines of name brands they made in early 2000s. That means not old engine technology and not thrown together.
Most Chinese scooters last for 20,000 miles and then when you need fresh brand new buy another Chinese brand new scooter cheap and swap the needed safety parts (aftermarket etc) onto it from the old one you had.
If I am going to get anything over 250cc I will buy a motorcycle that is name branded.
Dealers etc tend to mark the name brands for lot costs and are way overpriced. Finding a used brand name scooter is more expensive every way you put it. Why pay for "Italy" Quality is just the same with a Chinese scooter or a little less which can be swapped out with aftermarket parts for cheaper.
Tell me your thoughts?

Sorry I ddin't see this, yes grease the center boss shaft and leave the seals in, they help keep the shaft clean. Put a little grease on the "U" slides and put her back together. JR I cleaned it up best I could: I am going grease the boss shaft like you said but run it dry no grease in the variator and get the Dr pully Sliders that lube themselves. Is this ok?

Use a good grade litium grease on the boss shaft, clean the variator and the rollers check each one to make sure they slide with no friction WITH ABSOULUTELY NO GREASE and if they do then apply a thin coat on the "U" slides on the slide plate and install it. Grease collects dirt and dust, = grimey and sticky roller weights= bad variator performance. Also if you upgrade to sliders no grease. JR Ok I will run it dry sliders with alittle grease on the inside circular metal shaft. Do I need to keep the stock oil shield on it if I run it dry? Will it move back and fourth good with the stock oil shield on running it dry no grease?

The rubber ring actually goes after you put the variator on so grease does not leak onto the shaft and get to the belt.

They seem to want us to grease the stock roller weights and even grease the main metal shaft roller in the middle.

My varaitor has a grease seal on the back. That means I can grease my roller weights a bit just not as much I see now (I think they over did it). The grease seal has four screws the ones in the pic that just screw into the variator so the grease does not hit the belt.
I see grease outside the roller weights etc all over.
Do you think I should go dry or a dab of grease each roller weight?
