Thank you for the links but the question I was asking about my scooter was do people catagorize 49cc scooters as 50cc scotters and are 50cc parts compatable with 49cc scooters

Here is the problem I am having.I have a taotao cy50-t3 49cc.Every time I put in a google search for cy50-t3 49cc to look for parts the only thing that comes up is 50cc and up.I went to the local scooter store and asked the guy about this and he said that even though that it is a 49cc they go by 50cc or are called 50cc.It has me confused because I need parts for my scooter but am confused how to order them.The local scooter stores prices are sky high and I know I can get them online for way cheaper.Could some one help me with this and explain what I need to do to order the right parts online.Thank You.

yea that makes since are you saying a lose connector or lose wire.I purchased a new cdi from my local scooter store and put it on and no spark so It does make since that something could be lose.Everthing is hard to get to because of the plastic covers and everything that leads up to the cdi is zip tied.Should I cut the zip ties to make it easyer because It is hard to check like it is now.I really want to get my scooter running.Thanks for helping me

lights come on with key.Could needing to adjust valves cause no spark on spark plug because I checked and no sparkor could this be a cdi prob,I am just not sure help thanks

OkI took out the spark plug put it back in the boot and grounded it on the enging and I see no spark

Sorry I am post happy tonight.Ok so for some reason I thought that when my scooter was off that the lights did not come on,but I think maybe they do because I just went and checked them when I turn on the key my taillight was on and the light on my front fender was on but my headlight was out and it turns over like it wants to start.correct me if I am wrong about head light

I have a 2011 TaoTao CY-50 49cc. Recently It stoped working,it ran good for about 500 miles.First thing that happend to it was the head light went out but the high beam still worked a few days later it went out,so I put a new halogen one in and it worked good for about 3 weeks.One thing I did notice was after a while when I would stop it seemed like the head light would get dim and when I would start going it would get really bright.It has not been running for about 3 weeks it started 2 times with the kick start and the starter works but it wont start it.now the kick starter wont start it.any suggestions.Also will 50cc and up parts work with my scooter. |
