Yesireee that's the 257cc yamaha/linhai clone and a good engine. I remember when it first hit the scooter scene and parts were hard to get but over the years now it's proved to be a tough reliable engine and as everybody knows my favorite. Still selling them too and I figure they will for a time to come. Also Richard in the tech section if people don't know what their engine is we have a how to that shows the difference between the two; thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=250ee&action=display&thread=191But of cousre you have to be a member to view the tech section. I am with JR that is my favorite also. I have worked on both designs and from a mechanics point of view I find the Linhai clone to be easy to work on and more reliable. Just my opinion. I am sure there are those out that would disagree.

Bob ask me to look under the seat, I'm confused it says 244.3cc, but the side tag say it a cyprus 250 motor? JR, I looked at the two different engines, for sure my is the yamaha/linhai clone engine! Why would it say 244cc on my tag under my seat?

It is a 244 cc rounded up to a 250.

Jim, comparing the two engines, mine for sure is the 257cc yamaha/linhai clone engine, the only thing I can think is they put the wrong tag on my scoot. Is there a number on the engine that I could look at

I don't have one in stock right now to tell you exactly where it is. But, if my memory hasn't completely failed, it should be on the CVT side below the air filter assm.
