How remove large banner ? By hulk24 (Read 874 times)

Anyone know how to remove the huge Scooter Professor banner ? Each time I log onto the forum, I have to scroll half way down the page to view the forum. And every topic i select to view, i have to do the same thing all over again. Meaning have to scroll half way down the page just to read it. It's really a pain in da butt.

Welcome to the forum Hulk24, good to have you. not sure why your having trouble. Does this happen on other sights? You could pm JR his the administrator of Scooter Professor. btw, (Cool looking scoot I may be interested in that scoot in the furture).

I just went in and removed the little scrolling scooters, was just fooling around with them and the way the system is layed out is governed by Proboards and unless there is a code I don't know about the banner removal is not an option on an indivual basis?

The scrolling scooter removal helped considerably and I'll check with Proboards to see if there are any other means to tighten it up some so one doesn't have top scroll down near as far. I'll also chect to see if one can have just the banner on the home page and remove it on the rest of the forum pages?

I know my banner is larger than some and it was put together for be by a dear friend and member here and I love the way he made it.

My hopes one day is with all the great people here like yourself the forum will be larger than the banner could ever be.

Hi Richard, I know just it happens on my laptop. And thanks for liking my scooter. I just had it out for first time today. I will be posting a question in help forum in next five minutes.

I have to agree, the size of the proboards banner is ridiculous.

Use Firefox, Google Chrome, or most any Mozilla based browser.
Go to Tools > Add-ons in the menu
Search for Adblock Plus
Install it, restart the browser
Right click on the offending banner
Block it
Walla! No banner when the page loads next time.

Maybe other browsers too, don't know as I don't use Windows or Mac stuff.

And a big welcome to you nulldevice! Guys a dear friend put that banner together for me and with the things I listed he made it larger. Also at the time he had a total computer crash and was limited on sizing it without total distortion.

Later when I get the time I'm hoping to redesign it to a smaller one that is easier to deal with.

All of this takes time as I've been trying to add tech stuff and how tos as I can.
