Hooray - the old house is sold and closing is today. We got a lot less than we wanted and had to replace the sewer line and install a radon unit but it's gone. No more 300 mile round trips every 2 weeks. We still have a lot of work to do here but now maybe I can get back to enjoying things like RIDING MY SCOOTER!

Would you like to move to Colorado? My home is for sale. Small town, four corners area, mild climate summer and winter, half acre lot, 2,700 ft house, 22X28 oversized garage attached and then on oversize 1 car garage at rear of lot for shop or storage. No HOA involved. A much better setup that what I have just bought in Arizona. Good part about Arizona is the riding season is twice as long. Not sure if I would like to be riding in the 100 plus degrees temp.
Well, if you don't want it, maybe someone else on this forum might.
I understand your relief. From Colorado to my Arizona home is about 9 hours with gas and potty stops included. Half the ride is straight across the Navajo Nation. An easy drive through open country but possible stops are about an hour apart for this stretch.

JR - if y'all want to come and go fishing, we'd love to have you. The neighbor says there are some really big blue cats in the lake. Here's a cultural bit from down here in farm country - they sell/serve hog jowls although they call em hog maws. So far it's only snowed once and that was about 3 inches.
We're still working on the place and will be for months but we can relax a little. My son and his girl friend, 1 daughter and my brother and his family are coming for Thanksgiving on Saturday so that will be the first big dinner here. Dr. Barb is all in planning/get ready mode.
I had 5 trees taken out so lawn care will be easier but a have a lot of trimmings to get rid of - will burn as time allows.
Project for the next few months. There are estimated 10-20 scoots here at the lake. I'm going to try and get something organized.

Al - the new place was a foreclosure and we got it fairly cheap. There are a depressing number of them here at the lake. Unfortunately, the folks did some damage before they moved out plus it was empty for a couple years. The guy punched holes in the doors and I still need to replace them, the kitchen floor and do some painting. As far as the old place goes, the realtor said if we got an offer that wasn't too bad, grab it. It was on the market about 2 months. We wanted more but didn't get it. Basically, we swapped houses but we lost about 1000 square feet.
