Anyone know how to get to the sparkplug on a 2011 Jonway YY250T..? My 2008 YY250T had the seat pan "panel" ( to be remover with a Star driver) right over the sparkplug, the adjusting arms for the valve's were in view as well. This 2011 model is more over the carb.. The sparkplug is not in view. If body parts are to be removed, how do you do that..? Where do you start..? OH, and the fuel filter, where is the damn fuel filter..?
thanks you guys barry

Had one, sold it awhile back, but as I recall you open up the access panel under the seat and get at it -- barely -- from there. There are TWO under-seat panels, though, believe it's the rear one that gives you access to the sparkplug. Could have that wrong, been awhile. Either way, it's one of those.

Thanks Ellpee but on both my 2008 and my 2011 there was only one access panel. The 2008 had the panel over the sparkplug buy my 2011 access panel has been moved to the right about 2" or 3", partly over the carb which is dump because it's a sealed carburetor.... I guess I need to take the whole seat pan out and have access to the whole top of the engine. Is that possible..?

Be darned -- didn't think that was something they would have changed that much. In my experience yes, you can remove the seat and the entire compartment underneath the seat, just lots of screws, etc., but that's on my 2011 Roketa, might not be at all true about your scoot. Always thought that, since it's only plastic, they could have provided lots more access panels. Darn those Chinamen!

Thanks Ellpee, The scoot I'm talking about is a 2011. How would I begin taking the under compartment to my seat out..? I've taken out all the visible screws on the seat top but can't fine any other screws for the body. Does the body come off too..? Also, VERY IMPORTANT.. " do you know the fuel filter is located..? It may need changing.
thanks barry

I never actually removed the seat pan, only the seat itself, which was just a matter of removing several bolts from the hinges. Hard to get at, but otherwise easy enough. From there you're on your own, though, since I've not done it.
My Roketa was a 2011 too, interesting I had two access panels where you only have one. On my other scoot, I got tired of trying to do things through that little hole, so I cut out the entire bottom, cut a slightly larger piece of semi-stiff plastic, and attached it with velcro all the way around. Presto, lots of room to do lots of things, and still able to stash plenty of stuff in there when necessary.
No idea where the fuel pump is, but I should think just follow the hose out of the bottom of the fuel tank and you'll find it. On my other scoot it's behind the plastic more or less by my left ankle, but that's an Ice Bear Magnum, may be nothing like your Jonway.

EllPee, don't if you got answer on this. Both the fuel filter and pump are under center console (thingy) you can remove one of the lower panels - under floorboard and get access.
