Hi Troops, My Crankshaft Oil Seal on the Variator side blew out and oil was all over the place. I ordered the oil seals from Scrappy they come in a set of 4 two appear to be the same size for the Variator and I put one in, it is holding and no more oil.
TWO QUESTIONS: 1. BUT I they are all rubber, is that the way they are supposed to be? Or do you know of some better seals? In the package it looks like Two seals are the same size for the Variator side.
2. Also anyone know how to easly take out the seals Man I struggled take it out. I used two tiny screw drivers the ones you use to tighten your glasses IF YOU WHERE THEM(HAHA). Alleyoop

A person might take the seal to a good bearing/seal supply place and order a better quality one CRC or Dodge come to mind as far as industrial seals go.
On the seal removal I prefer an ice pick! LOL

Did you have any trouble getting the gear off the shaft?
I had a heck of a time with mine.
Also, how was it putting the new seal in?

Honda has seals that fit the GY6 engines.. they are a bit thicker but work...
Stock seals are 19.8x30x5mm....
Honda part number 91201 - KCW - 880
19.8x30x7mm....

Doug, On my trike there are no gears it is a PULL START not a kickstart. So it was a piece of cake took me 1/2 to get the old seal out and 1 minute to put the new one in WHOLA.
Sprocket, Do you have a link for that Honda Seal THICKER would be nice more area to seal, I will order a couple just in case. Alleyoop

Those are REALLY NICE seals.. I can understand why you would want 4... perfectly normal ; But if they are as good as I think they are, you may never need them!
