Hi ima new to boards and I'm suck on this scooter. I have a 2006 history 125. It starts fine and when on the center stand will rev up and the rear tire goes. But when I get on it to ride it bogs down and has no power. At full throttle it will barely move. I replaced the carb, it had weak spark so replaced the coil, cdi, plug, and stator. After all that it starts fine and runs. The rear wheel gos fast when on stand. Minute I get on it and give it gas it starts to move then bogs down to nothing. Please help I'm stumped and my friend is too.

Does the engine rev up while you are riding it and it just doesn't want to move?

No motor doesn't rev. It's not acting like a slipping tranny. It's like its trying to pull way to much weight.

mredman Have you pulled the CVT cover off and checked the variator roller weights? Sounds like stuck roller weights and it's in the high range? JR

OK. I'm back with same problem. We checked the roller weights and that's working. But then we notice that the clutch outer would spin at first and then stop. So we put it on the lift and center stand and we can stop the tire from spinning with our hands.took it apart and the outer clutch is in spec and the clutch pads have lots of meat on them. Stumped again! Help please.

OK I need help. Like I said before, no power. But looking at it while the cover is off it does look like the clutch is slipping. But we took the clutch apart and it is like brand new! And this bike only has 1800 miles on it. It has been sitting for 10 months.

pull the clutch bell lightly sand the inside of it (the swept area) with fine sand paper and do the same to the friction pad faces,,,and check the arm pivots they may be sticking and not moving out all the way like they should,,,just a drop of penatrating oil may free them up,,,,thats where your problem is i think

We tried that when we pulled the case off. Still does the same thing. It trys to start out good and then the clutch slips and the motor bogs down. I don't get that either, if the clutch slips in the car the rpms go way up. On this scooter when it starts to slip it gos down. If I let it idle after it bogs down and try to go again it will try and take off for a second and then it will fall on its face.

The clutch and varitor are working fine. I'm stumped. On the center stand runs fine and revs up! But the minute you sit down on it and try to take off it falls on its face. The only thing we haven't tried is the kick stand switch. When the kickstand is down it runs like crap. I don't think it should be running at all , but like I said I'm stumped. Help please!

Both start and run and idle fine. But the minute you hop on and start to go it starts out fine and then it falls on its face! No power and won't move.
