Hey guys, back on the road again, bad news I'm having an high idle problem, check choke cable and I have about 1/4 slack, I have MC-54-250B scooter, first start it idles around 22-23 rpms but won't go down After warm up, I turn it down it stays the same). I'm thinking I'm either too rich or lean.

What did you do to it (the carb) BEFORE you were back on the road again?

Hi ellpee, I had made some adjustments making the carb leaner, it was acting up before I lift it seat waiting for my left switch assembly, now since the whether is changing maybe needs to be richer.

That's what I thought too, thanks alleyoop I would love to buy a carb that the adjust screw would be on top or on the side mine is hard to adjust because I've done it too many time the slot on the screw is wide but off comes that plastic again

Found the problem alleyoop, my intake clamp was loose, tighten it up and started scooter and idle came down after warm up.

Interesting how sensitive they are to some extra air sneaking in. That makes the airbox (and its connections) a lot more important that one might think.
