Anyone know how to remove the front fairing on a Linhai aelous 300 scooter?. My dang low beam blew. Still got the high beam. Ive never done it. Any videos or tutorials out there?. It looks like The fairing has to be removed to get to it, Dang it.
Thanks.

DISCLAIMER: I know diddly about the Aeolus. But you might first want to see if juice is making it past the handlebar switch. On my Roketa, the low beam is fed by a white wire off the handlebar switch, so if you can find that wire and test it for 12v, you can eliminate the possibility of a bad switch, without having to get under the hood. If there's 12v there, then yeah, probably time to pull the front plastic.

I will check the switch on Thursday. That front fairing looks like it will be a pain in the arse to get off. It has to be done though. People are flashing there lights at me with just the bright light working. I had no idea it was that bright. They are stock lights.

I've had mine off more times than I can count, usually you have to take windshield off first, then all the screws holding fairing front too. it is a pain.

Yep it looks like a pain in the arse but it must be done. I believe I will have to remove the glove box as well I think there are some screws behind it. Gonna go back with stock lights. They are plenty bright enough. Man I hate to tear into that fairing. I think I would rather have a tooth pulled lol.

My sympathies. The Chinese engineers really need to put their minds to simplifying access to all the good stuff under the various plastics. On both my Roketa and my Magnum, getting at things is an exercise in frustration, and I've cracked the plastics and broken of little tabs and what have you on both scooters. Wonder if the Japanese and Taiwanese scooters are any better in that regard ... ?

You shouldn't have to take glove box out, all you need is the front cone off.

Windshield, and various screws behind it. Then will it pop off or are there any more fasteners I need to be aware of?
