Hey guys, recently I had to order the left switch assembly for my 2008 Roketa scooter, so I thought I would go ahead and take the switch out, to my amazement I discovered that mine is a 6 pin not a 9 pin, plus everything is attached on my switch, what do I do now and where do I get this switch?

A little confused Richard, you say 6 pin? Are you saying it has only 6 wires to it? The left switch assembly has four functions:

Horn
Hi/lo beams
Signals
Passing switch

So let's break it down one by one.

Horn is fed BLACK = !2Vdc and the black wire splits in the harness and the other leg goes to what they call the
Passing Switch is fed by BLACK = 12Vdc
Horn output feed wire is LIGHT/GREEN
Passing Switch out put feed wire is (mine is yellow) and is a very short wire that is soldiered to the back of the hi/lo beam switch to BLUE = Hi beam lights. You can just turn the key on and press this spring loaded switch and the Hi beam lights will come on.

Hi/lo beam lights is as follows
BLUE/WHITE = power feed into the switch and ONLY has power when the scooter is running
White = Lo beam lights
Blue = Hi beam lights
The switch is divided as in when you are on Lo beams it feeds only one filament to the headlight bulb and when in the Hi beam position it feeds only the Hi beam side, they are never on together as some people think.

Signal lights are as follows

Gray = power feed to the switch from the flashing unit
Light/Blue = right blinker
Orange = left blinker

So let's review, wires coming into the switch should be:

Power Feed wires
blue/white = headlights
black X 2 again this wire splits to feed the horn and passing switch
gray = signals

Power Out wires
light/blue = right blinker
orange = left blinker
light/green = horn
blue = hi beams
white = lo beams


I'm not counting the little yellow jumper wire from the passing switch soldiered over to the blue hi/beam lights.

Now I knew this but just for kicks I verified this on my 250B and it's exactly like this. I call this a 9-wire switch, if yours is different let me know or give close ups of it.

Now in the above they mention it is a harness with brake light plug too and it does have to hook up to the brake light switch by the handle and they say 9 wire which matches what I said.

This switch would probably fit and does not list the passing switch?

Hey JR, yes I have a separate wire for the brake switch, it's on the control, u have all functions, now there is a separate wire connector to a round thing, thinks it's 2 pin.

JR, the first on this list and the last one is it, I canceled my other order and I'm going with the last one mentioned $40.00, I sent you an email with those pics.

That's interesting, because the picture you posted at the very beginning of your OTHER thread about this looked different. At the end of that thread I was pretty sure the #35 switch was the right one. Apparently the 2008 is quite different from the 2011 in that regard.

Hi ellpee, yeah I'd discover that when I took the whole switch out, I tried to find it like I usually do (on ebay0 well not this time, this is the first time since I bought my scooter that I bought from roketa.

The above one looks real close? It is generic. Same with this one and you would have to splice them in or cut you old plug off and use it by splicing it too.
