Hi all. I'm an old married man, retired young, with a lovely wife who brings home the bacon as an executive. No children so we dote on our handsome male Chow Pei canine. We just left New Jersey USA to a nicer place and great employment opportunity for the Mrs in the Mid West. I got the bug to get a scooter some months ago. I've been trolling scooter forums, watching YouTube videos, drooling over eBay auction listings and wasting late night hours pouring over online dealer ads to educate myself before parting with my mad money. Being very tall and terribly overweight I've been able to eliminate a buttload of makes and models based on size and engine displacement. I'll admit I'm very attracted to the mid-80's Honda Elite 250 in brown/tan. That model has a certain George Jetson appeal. Great lines, and the hide-away headlight feature is the icing on the cake. I still have to earn a motorcycle license, keep feeding the piggy bank and wait for the right scooter to come available at the right price. Meanwhile I'll continue to learn and dream of rides to come. Thanks for taking the time to read my post. See you in the forums!

Sounds like a game plan and that is a nice scooter, shame Honda quit it. Since you are bigger I would definitely stay with a 250 or larger scooter.
When you start seriously shopping give us a holler, a lot of the folks here can give you some good do's and don'ts!

Thank you JR. Long ago in my youth I drove my 1974 Moto Morini 3 1/2 Cafe Sport and I'm really looking forward to two wheeling once again.
