I did a search through the forum (and the web) to see if I could find information about using a Uni-Filter on my 244cc (CN250) engine. I found various vague suggestions to increase the jet size in the carb and to expand the exhaust but nothing specific to my engine or my carb. So... here are my questions:
1. My carb has one tube that leads back to the air intake setup that I think is a breather hose. If I install a Uni-Filter, what is the best thing to do with that breather hose?
2. When my scooter was last running (it is currently not running), it was running very rich. Will I still need to re-jet the carb (bigger jets) or will putting a Uni-Filter on it likely lean it out enough to take care of the rich condition without having to re-jet?
3. The Uni-Filter site suggests oiling all their filters. Should I specifically use the Uni brand spray oil or will other kinds of oil work just as well?
4. Do I absolutely have to modify the exhaust system (such as remove the restrictor plate or otherwise modify the exhaust) if I install a Uni-Filter?
5. Should I really just stick with the original airbox/intake?
Thanks for your time in advance and I look forward to hearing your advice.

Most of that I can't address, but if you were running rich, you certainly don't want BIGGER jets. If you can't lean it out enough with the mixture screw or by tinkering with the incoming air path, then SMALLER jets would seem to be in order.
