So everything works except the LOW BEAMS is that what your saying? Did you check the bulbs the low beam filiment might be burned out and the switch may be good. Alleyoop

Yes do check them out don't forget the low beams are the ones that get used more. Also you can take the switch apart and it may just be a contact that you can fix. the low beam wire might have come off. They are not the best soldered pieces in there. Alleyoop Here is a LEFT HAND SWITCH OPENED UP: CLICK on the pic to make them bigger so you can see them better.

How do you know which wire is the low beam? Could you use a volt meter on this?

How do you know which wire is the low beam? Could you use a volt meter on this? Very easy, click on the swivel switch when it is apart and see what it makes contact with when in the Low Beam position. PIECE OF CAKE BRO. Alleyoop

On mine, the low beam is the white wire (I cut it and added in an on/off switch). My OEM switch went bad after just a couple months, turn signals wouldn't stay on; I opened it up a couple times trying to find and fix the problem but no luck.
If it turns out you do need the switch, After months of trying I recently got one from BuyATVsOnLine, who in turn got it from some outfit in Illinois whose name I don't recall. $20 plus shipping, $27 total.

Thanks ellpee, I'm going to check out the bulbs first, then take switch apart and then go from there (good info)

Good luck hope it is just the bulbs or a broken wire or rusted contact. If the problem is in the switch and no metal parts are broken you should be able to fix it. Even if the a piece of metal is broke you could just use SOLDER so it makes contact. Alleyoop

Hey guys, found the problem, its in the switch. I have the switch opened and when I start scoot and push the white wire on the low beam side the light come on (as soon as I let go of that wire it goes out) next thing to do is figure out how I can get that part of the switch out to work on it

If you do, post some pictures. I still have my old one lying around, tried twice to take it apart and fix a turn signal problem but with no success. Lots of teeny stuff inside there including a little ball bearing and a tiny spring.
My problem, by the way, was mechanical, not electrical. The turn signals would not stay on unless I held the switch left and down (or right and down) with my thumb, and the cancel feature no longer worked, no click when I pushed it in. The new one is working fine for now, just wondering if it'll last longer than the original. If that particular problem happens again I'll be tempted to locate the appropriate wires and install a completely separate handlebar switch for the turn signals.
