just got my 2013 red roketa mc 54 250cc scooter. started right up after i uncrated the beast. looks and runs great. just a front end shake/rattle that concerns me. any ideas what it is? just feel it when starting off slow. once bike gets going, dont notice the shake any longer. Im new to the 250cc scooter. had a vento 150cc hotrod that was a piece of crap. hope this chinese scoot does me better

First of all put it on the center stand and spin the wheel and make sure all nuts/bolts are tight. Also inspect the tire and check the pressure. At this point unless you find something g loose I'll say very unbalanced tire. JR

Then you need to start looking at all the fork tree nuts/bolts and make sure all are tight.

I had a rattle up in front and it was the weight on the thin piece of twain that the Glove Box cover is held up with when opened. So when close the weight goes down and lIt was rattling against the side inside front panel. Alleyoop

i have the same exact one ,when I relized I had 50lbs in the tires ,was rough first few hundered feet then I relized I had to reset the tired pressure like 32 an 34,it says it right on the hual, iwas like wow this thing willstink on bumps then I relized they fill them up to around 50lbs at factory,in some cases they sit for years before being sold, an now it much better ,don't forget to change the valve stems or check them there cheap an don't last long

Those rattles are hard to pinpoint sometimes-alleyoop is on the right trail, the glove pocket door may be part of the noise -being a new scoot it could be something the factory left loose under the hood, like a horn or radio or even a light fixture--also I find that sound travels around and sometimes it is behind you instead in front--the trunk lid is notorious for rattles--the metal clasp is part of the noise--oh,and look inside the glove box,it has a mp3 wire hanging down in there with a mini plug --it might just be the culprit---good luck, fflintstone

PDI, PDI, PDI, unless you paid to have the dealer do it, and even then, don't be 100% trusting. Check every screw and bolt you can reach, LocTite is your friend, also check every hose and electrical connector you can reach. I have the 2011, 17 months experience so far, and a second (trike) scooter at our summer place, and have learned the hard way that factory quality control on Chinese scoots ain't anywhere near perfect. That being said, I wuv my Roketa, am having a ball with it. Best of luck with yours.
(BTW, trunk rattles were a hassle at first, part of my solution was to slit some ? 3/8 inch ? rubber tubing and put it all the way around the bottom part of the trunk, "tacked" every few inches with stay-soft FormAGasket. When I close and latch it I now can feel a little resistance, and that cut way down on the rattles.)
Oh yeah, and if any electrical issues pop up, take a close look at your fusebox. OEM box is poor quality, connectors tend to slip down out of position, resulting in bad/no contact for the fuses.
